Chinese New Year - Tenshi - 01-24-2006 06:45 PM

So this year the chinese new year is on the 29th of January (year of the DOG is coming up! (I think LOL))

So yeah in preperation for this today I've just made 11 pounds of chinese sausage XD

so for this...

for each pound of porc... about a foot of animal intestine
for each pound of porc... 9g of Salt
for each pound of porc... 30g of Sugar
for every 5 pounds of porc... 1g of Siow Yam (Ummm yeah don't ask i dunno it's supposed to help take away the moister during the drying process)
for every 3 pounds of por... 50ml of Rum or Wiskey

WEEEE~
FUN!

Which reminds me...I'll have to pray this weekend >_>;; (wonder if I can study and do that at the same time, lol)

Happy Chinese New Year in advance in case I don't check back Icon_razz

At first, that recepie(?) looked good. Then I saw the Rum/Whiskey-part.

Icon_razz I love Chinese New Year!

It always means free food at Chinese restaurants, and I love Asian cuisine. :D

Don't forget to replace it with an equal amount of some other liquid though (probably some kinda stock ~ not entirely sure what kind would be best), because if it's in there, taking it out would probably mess with the consistancy, or the edibility, of the results.

And Happy Pre-New Year to everyone n_n
