A Weird Question from a Weird Person. - Avalon_Fates - 07-29-2010 11:04 AM

Howdy all Fates here, been playing daily again and don't get me wrong its been really fun. Just hunting mobs again and hanging with the awesome people on heRO has been great...but something has been off for me. Now with much thought I think I realized what it was. Now that my LK is 99 there is no more leveling to be done. Every kill of a mob just seems blander without that exp that comes with it. Now before you say start a new character I realize that is the obvious option to such a problem, yet honestly I wouldn't want to. Anything done on a new char would be that chars new experiences not "Angel Fates". And making another LK would just feel wrong, there are things I want to hold onto, like my nobility for starters and the characters history for others. So here is my question.

Would it be possible to get an exp drain. De-level a character back to pretrans so one could level, trans, quest and level it some more all again. Thus things like warps and nobility and quests already completed would remain while the fun of leveling, questing and transing a character could continue once more.

So yeh, if that is in fact possible what would one have to do to get it done?

Thanks for answering~

Fates you knucklehead, there is tons of stuff to still do even with a maxed character. The idea that you don't care if you die is pretty good, and I don't think I regret ever 99/70ing prof to this day. x)

Age Regression? I didn't know you were into that sorta thing.

Yeh but that would just be a new character not continuing the awesome adventure playing the original. Too many things about the character, Memories, warp unlocks, nobility as well as the quests I have started I wish to keep. But playing it at 99 is just a chore and I wish to do all those quests I missed but with still gaining the exp rewards so as to work towards something. As a level cap is in this game continuing it higher is of course impossible. However if it was possible to de-level I would be able to work towards all the old goals with the reward being becoming stronger once again.

@Aaron - Actually I hate the no exp loss mattering thing. Got rid of the fear of dieing..Now only in important Gotta get a job done situations is living or dieing matter. Just random adventuring is like "Eh who cares ill just respawn with no change"

Dont get me wrong I don't regret it, I just would like to be able to continue leveling. Only way to do that is if I can delevel.

I'd say focus more on high end parties. Or you culd help level your guild.

Go to rms and put together a list of the absolute optimal gear you can possible get. Then hunt it. That should keep you occupied for a couple of years. Evil

You do realize in high end parties that dying can be a big deal sometimes right Fates? XD

Dying still has a penalty, but its not to your experience anymore is all.

@Aaronock - Already admited to the importance of not dieing in high end parties.

@TPC - There is a difference between Occupied and Fun.

@Matrim - Yay signs of intelligent life! Though high end parties are immensely fun, with my time frame I tend to miss most ones i'm not already aware of so as it catch ahead of time. Also there is alot of gear hunting in my future, and for some strange reason I grind better thinking about leveling then I do the items.

Hmm leveling the guild is an interesting point, hmm ill have to think about that point further.
