Patching problem? - yacsef - 01-26-2012 08:50 PM

Hi everybody, i'm here to share my little problem. I think it's a minor problem and anyone can help me... my problem is just that after the HeRo server launch, the patch is saying that no new patch are available, but when i play i see unknown items with the apple form, i though it was normal, but when i received an object from another player, he gave me an unknown item, i told him what was that and he told me that i need to patch my client :s, but my client is patched. So now i just don't know what is the caracteristics of the item that i've equiped, sorry i don't know the name of the item that i've worn(because i see it on the character but not in the inventory), but i know that the letters from the savepoint NPC is unknown items too.

Well i hope you can resolve my problem, thank you for attentionIcon_biggrin

(I've installed the game with the mini-installer because i already have the RO client, maybe the mini-installer doesn't patch correctly?)

Did you install heRO onto a clean copy of the RO client, or is it in a folder with another server?

Did the player tell you which item it was that was coming up as unknown to you?

And if you go into your base heRO folder, and open up the neoncube.file file, which number is in it?

I am sure that the RO client was clean, no other servers are/were in.

The player just trade me the items??and didn't told me what was the unknown item, i thought it was a letter from the SavePoint NPC. He gave me those items because i was searching for a thief/assassin helps, and he was really helpfull and gave me the items.

And i really don't know about what number you're talking about because in my neoncube folder i just have skin_hero folder and a file named neoncube, this file opened with notepad++ begin like this

The file is called neoncube.file, and is in the very base RO folder, not in any folder. All the file should contain is a number.

RE: Patching problem? - yacsef - 01-26-2012 09:27 PM

oh, ok

the number is 180

RE: Patching problem? - Former-GM-Circe - 01-26-2012 09:30 PM

Hmm. Change that number to 177, save it, then open the heRO patcher again and let it patch away.

RE: Patching problem? - yacsef - 01-26-2012 09:39 PM

:s, the patch repacked the client but i'm always seeing unknown items

PS: the file neoncube got back the number 180
