Tag pvp tournament - Former-GM-Auron - 07-11-2007 08:35 PM
Here it is a PvP tournament for the month of July. The event will be sunday july 22nd at 5pm server time, which is 1 hour after the sunday WOE. If there are complications the tournament will be post poned to the 29th of july, one week later.
This a tag tournament in the term that it set as 2 vs 2. It is a best 2 of 3 match with each team fighting every other team. Winners of the tournament are determined by a point system. There are a maximum of 3 rounds and minimum of 2 rounds in each match. Match ends when one team racks up 2 wins or when the 3rd round ends.
What is a round?: A round is a fight between the two teams that lasts no more then 2 minutes or when one team is defeated.
What is a match?: A match is made up of 2 to 3 rounds and is used to determine the winners of the fight.
Point system:
- win= 2 points
- loss= 0 point
- draw= 1 point
- If a team wins without losing a member they get 3 points instead of 2
Time limit for a round is 2 minutes.
Exemple 1 of how the points are gained:
- Round 1: Team A beats Team B in 1 minute and they didn't lose a member so they get 3 points and team B gets 0 points
- Round 2: Team B wins in juste under 2 minutes but they lost a member, so team B gets 2 points and team A gets 0 points
- Round 3 and final round: 2 minutes are passed and both teams still as one member left. The result is a draw and both teams get 1 point
Points gained in this match are:
Team A: 4 points
Team B: 3 points
Exemple 2 of how the points are gained:
- Round 1: Team D beats Team C in 30 seconds with both members still alive. Team D gets 3 points and Team C gets 0 points
- Round 2: Team D wins again but in 35 seconds this time but lost one member. Team D gets 2 points and Team C gets 0 points.
-Team D as won 2 times so the match is over.
-Points gained in this match are:
Team C: 0 points
Team D: 5 points
Item Restrictions:
- no ygg berry or seeds
- no trading between players.
- no fish
- no food items (these are the items that give bonuses to your stats)
- no dead branches or bloody branch
- no buffing item (autorative badge and the like)
- Poison bottles can be used in any number for aspd
- limit of 10 gems all color mixed per round for the team (exemple each can have 5 gems but they can't have 10 gems each)
- limit of 20 traps per match
- (red, orange, yellow, white, concentration, awakening, berserk) pots their condensed versions and every other item not listed here or not in a categorie listed can be used in any number that a player can carry
Res Restrictions:
- 1 ygg leaf/res per character per match, which means each character can raise the other once in the match
- The priest resurection is counted in the maximum amout of gems allowed, so if you don't want to use up a gem for it then bring some ygg leaves
Skill Restrictions:
- maximum hidden time is 10 seconds per 30 seconds. There is a loss of 1 point per 10 seconds remained hidden after the time limit of 10 seconds. Points can be lost in the negative in this way. So if you hide 11 seconds then your team loses 1 point, 21 seconds is a 2 point loss, etc.
- leap once every 10 seconds, if leap brings character outside of battle location he must leap back in immedietly or be killed for the round. If leap is used more then once in 10 seconds then it will result in point loss, 1 point for each leap after the first one. Exemple you leap 3 times in the same 10 seconds so you lose 2 points for your team.
- Enchant deadly poison can be used once per match
- Assura strike can be used once per match
- Acid demonstration 5 times per match
- Frenzie can be used once per match
- Basilica can be used once per match
- Aspercio can be used 5 times per round
Access to the storage will not be allowed during the event, you must have everything on you from beginning to end.
Prizes:
1st team: 10 Allegiance Points + 2 OCa per team member + 2 OPB per team member + 1M zeny per teammember + Special Headgear*
2nd team: 5 Allegiance Points + 1 OCA per teammember + 2 OPB per team member + 500k
3rd team: 1 OPB per team member + 2 OBB per team member + 250k per team member
Every participants (including first 3 teams) also gets something for participating 1 OBB per 5 points accumulated by their team. So if a team scores 20, each member gets 4 OBB.
Everyone as to announce their team in this post in order to participate in the tournament. Time limit to enter your team is july 21st or if the tournament is postponed to the 29th then the limit will be the 28th.
To enter your team you must give both character names and class. If you wish to change your team you may do so before the time limit listed above to enter a team. If you have questions you can post them here but no unecesserie discusions about the tournament in this post. Thank you.

All other participants either did not participate or widdrew during the tournament.

- updated with the first prize headgear.
- Specified what is allowed in the item restriction list.
- Added the the no storage rule once the tournament is started, that was forgotten.
Also if I don't have at least 5 teams the day before the tournament, then it will be delayed for one week but if one week later I don't have enough teams, then the tournament is canceled.
