Do you read? - YouKnowWho - 11-12-2007 11:55 PM

So I realized a while ago that I do not enjoy reading anymore unless it is light reading, really. I brought this point up again in my mind after I was assigned a four-hundred-page book to read. The book, I found, was annoying to read. I fell asleep sometimes trying to read it because I didn't want to read it. This happened with other books too, more interesting. The last Harry Potter book is a great example. Got half-way through and then stopped reading it.

Have you got this problem? My friend came up with a theory that eventually, somehow, some people grow out of reading. I found this a bit silly, but I think, at a mental standpoint this could be true. What do you guys thinkQuestion MarkIcon_suprised

Oh that might actually be pretty nice. If I had some interesting books to look into maybe I could make this more of a habit. Icon_biggrin

I don't think it's that I don't like reading, I'm just picky about books, I spose. I read some books by Stephen King over the summer. The Dark Tower series, books 1-3. Great books.

My reading habits have always been on and off, sort of like how people will simply drop off reading :o I'll go for weeks reading non-stop, perhaps even 7 hours a day xD then drop it and not read for months. Nothing ever seems to interest me during those times either Icon_cry
