About King Tristan and Nobility System (possible spoilers) - Logester - 12-01-2008 12:34 AM

WARNING! POSSIBLE QUEST SPOILERS!
Depending on what episode update heRO is on.
(11.3 or later)
Ok, one thing about the Nobility System has bugged me every since I figured out that it revolves about being under King Tristan III. Isn't one of the Nameless' Quests about King Tristan III getting kidnapped and ..."such"? Specifically, the Nameless Abbey Entrance Quest.

GUIDE (step 35-37) or GUIDE w/pics (step 19)

So wouldn't ... King Tristan's "status" affect the RP set up of heRO's nobility system? Since it's set up to be under his rule? (Thus the highest possible nobility rank being Prince/Princess)

I'm trying not to give too much away too much in my post; thus the links are key to what I'm talking about (for those reading and not wanting to spoil quest outcomes); however one of the statements in the guidelines for RP'ing is that all official info can be character knowledge, as well as recent events for the Chronicles of Heroes... so how does this affect everything? Is it being ignored/removed for heRO's setting? Is heRO not there yet? If it's too big a spoiler, I give permission for this thread to be deleted, and I'll assume "heRO's not there yet".

(I'm not sure if this should have been in the RP section or not, so I put it in the Questions section, even if it is a long drawn out question; spoiler tags would have helped a lot more than being vague though)

LOL...I think one of the biggest controversies when we made this system was this. I always said the king up there killed was a fake to begin with to keep things simple. I think also for a short while this was played out and the servants of the king basically say don't question it too much >_>

Could be fun to draw out a bit since we have time before chapter 15 of the chronicles begin but dunno what will happen xD

Or maybe he came back again, and we are all ruled by... him as his current "status". ;D

maybe its one of his sons that take over? (aka just rename the king to his kids name)

Curse of Gaebolg suggests that basically his sons are dead.

I haven't done nameless island quest (I'm not good at questing, even if I have GM power at it) but really, general populance even with the nameless island quest update, still think that everything is just fine. Likewise, that's what things will appear as too. Truth =/= what people know Ok

*nodnod* 3 of his sons are dead.
Not sure if he had any others. oO

Wasn't that Jormungand's Curse?
How does "GaeBolg" fit into all this? .-.
Or is it just another name for the Quest?

The quest is called Curse of Gaebolg (apparently that's the royal family's last name). Yes the "actual curse" is from Jormungand.
