heRO Crashing - Kirby_Z - 12-15-2008 08:29 PM

Everytime I open the server it crashes my PC and makes it restart, Im now working on cleaning the PC and cleaning registry. Now what could have caused the problem? It was working just a few hours ago normaly.

Update: Well heRO was just the beggining of the end. For some weird reason heRO crashed for good my PC and now Im, having a hard time trying to start freaking Windows again, so I guess that I will have to try to reinstall windows after I extract all the photos and personal data and migrate it to Ubuntu. Hope that it all goes well, for now so long heRO, I'll brb Icon_biggrin

Last time I heard of something similar the person was having problem with their graphic card, so might wanna check into that direction.

I fixed the Windows via Ubuntu, and now I can open it, but I still get crashed everytime I open heRO. So now Im downloading the most recent driver for the video card to se if that fix something. Will try to open the dusty iRO Valk to see if it also crash. I even formated the heRO HD. (yes I have a whole stand alone hard disk for heRO). Im crossing fingers here, if not then I guess that I will uninstall the video card and do some testing on other PC I have around.

Ok, things seems to be getting better, heRO opens now but I can find it od that I can't update sakray and the ONLY way to update heRO is via Ubuntu. I also installed heRO in the main M$ WinXP HD. Will try later to install it on the heRO HD and see if the updates goe normaly.

Now why are all this problems happening? Not just me but it seems that heRO is just do darn hard to install it and run it in one go, for a lot of ppl.

I can't say that the people I've asked to join have had issues with running it. Are there any other graphics intensive games (HA! Like RO's that intensive) that you can try running?
We do host a one zipped up version of heRO but it's a few patches behind and probably is not supported by the team here because we're not affiliated with them (It's there because guildies wanted it in one place).

Well, most people don't have a problem installing hero, it's just that those who post are the ones experiencing difficulties.
