From Death to Ramen; Silk's Backstory. - Silk - 12-18-2008 10:15 PM

Twenty-one years ago as of next December, Silvarnes Faladim was born. His parents, two merchants in Amatsu, who traded Silk with Prontera, Morroc and Geffen. Because of this trade, Silvarnes was given the nickname "Silk".

He had no siblings, and his parents had died on a trip deep into Geffen Dungeon when he was 12 years old. Having loved his parents very much and having been left their fortune upon their deaths, Silk hired a travelling Gunman to teach him to use a Western Outlaw. He graduated at the age of 17, and immediately set off to Geffen dungeon, clad in black, to avenge his parents. He passed through most of the dungeon with ease, avoiding the deadly Dracula, and shooting down many Nightmares, and even a Tirfing, the deadly floating sword. His goal was the Doppelganger.

And he found his goal. While turning a corner in the final floor of the Geffen dungeon he came face to face with himself; The Doppelganger.

Doppelganger was sitting on a pile of skeletons. Silk slowly drew his guns and grinned angrily. It was time to exact his revenge.

The battle was heated, but by far not in his favor. He had trouble hitting the creature, and even when he did, the bullets seemed to glance off. Then the Doppelganger stopped moving for a moment, and began to change its shape. It became his father. The thing walked to one of the skeletons on the ground, and picked a hat off the bones, donning it and turning towards the bewildered, furious gunslinger. If anything, Silk knew he had to recover that hat. Keep it somewhere safe, where no one would wear it again.

He fired his gun at the clone, dashing towards it as fast as he could, but the Doppelganger did more damage to him. With one strike, Silk was knocked to the floor.

Then something abnormal happenned. The Doppelganger grinned to the downed Gunslinger and dropped his father's hat on top of him, again taking the form of Silk himself. Silk took the hat and fled, knowing this would not be the last time he saw the creature.

And it wasn't...

Just weeks later, a newspaper report told him that a gun-user who looked just like him had began to attack; The Doppelganger had left his dungeon, and now used Silk's form to attack and to ruin the lives of others.
The real trouble started when Silk was attacked by a hunter on his 18th birthday. He'd been getting funny looks every day recently because of his resemblance to the killer; at this point he knew the Doppelganger was simply out to ruin -his- life; to see -him- suffer. He narrowly avoided his death in that attack, and fled to his father's grave in Amatsu, where he took his father's hat, and discarded his guns and dark clothing, donning now a white shirt, and yellow pants from a corner store, and asking a past neighbor for assistance in bleaching his hair, as well as training in the axe; The same weapon his father had used.

Although his life was now stained with troubles and tragic occurences, Silk decided that for now, it'd be better for him to forget all that; He was far too weak to fight the Doppelganger, he knew that now. But he vowed that someday, he would get his revenge.

It is now almost two years later, and Silk is nearing his 21st birthday. He's founded a guild known as the "Knights of Lunch" in celebration of some of his greatest joys in life; Food and socialization. He lives happily. But how long will it be before he runs into his past again?
