Where'd you get your name?

[Force-Attuned Krogoth]

Let's see ... I have a whole gaggle, and almost none of them are my own ideas.

Force-Attuned Krogoth - My original internet persona.??Krogoth comes from one of the most awesome strategy games ever made: Total Annihilation.??It's the ultimate giant mecha, at the top of the tech tree, requiring its own dedicated factory and a crapton of materials and a long, long time to produce.??Back in the day, I was also an avid Star Wars fanatic, and one of my favorites in the franchise was the game Dark Forces.??The main baddies were Dark Troopers, experimental elite dudes in large mechanized suits with force training.??I mashed them together, and came up with something that seems plausible.??In real life I have no psychokinesis, and I'm just a whispy guy who practically disappears when turned sideways, but on the internets I'm a 100-foot tall unstoppable juggernaut with basic abilities for prescience and manipulation of the elements.??rawr

Krogoth - My smith.??I like battlesmiths being crazy bastards with enormous axes.??Over time, people have forgotten about Total Annihilation, so I don't need to use the long-ass name most places.??Which is good because people somehow get confused by it, thinking that I should be called Force ... what's so hard about distinguishing parts of speech???People are nouns!

Kroggles - In FFXI, my char is a large Galka named Krogoth.??When I play white mage, he looks like a fuzzy teddy bear.??Someone called me "Kroggles" and it stuck.??Now when I play RO, Kroggles = priest

Walsung - RO lends itself to incorporation of Norse mythos, and I like Wagner's Ring Cycle.??One day, a god named Odin took on an assumed name and form, and boinked a girl.??She gave birth to a son, and named him W?lsung, as patronymic for his father W?lse.??Later, this boy fell in love with his sister, stealing her away from her husband, and siring a child.??Gods were pissed and killed him, but she escaped, and the child became the hero Siegfried who saved the world.??Woo.

Faval - Fire Emblem is made of win.??Especially #4, on SNES.??In the second half of the game, Faval is the little kid who inherits blood of the bow goddess and totally rapes face with it.??He started life as an orphaned brigand, and his sister is an accomplished thief, so he's my bow rogue.

Dr. McNinja - Great webcomic.??Ninja, of course.

Xavier Thracia - Another Fire Emblem character.??This time it's from #5, the most evil one, also on SNES.??He's an armored dude proficient with every bladed weapon known to man.??My knight can use everything from mace[4] to brionac to schweizersabel.

Gavroche - Ahh, Les Miserables ... favorite musical.??Gavroche is a street urchin whose theme song goes, "Little people know / when little people fight / we may look easy pickings / but we've got some bite"??Baby rogue writes itself.

Teela Brown - I may have already done this, but meh.??Character from Niven's classic novel Ringworld, so lucky the universe bends to her best interests, with noone, including Teela, noticing.??Eternally amusing character concept, I steal it whenever possible.??She's my sniper, I keep her in crit build whenever possible.??She also has crazy luck with drops.

Ceres Victoria - little police girl.??Also a vampire.??From the anime Hellsing, her signature weapon is a 120mm cannon.??I use her as a gunslinger focusing on grenade launcher.??Pointless but cute.

Clobberella - Futurama.??Superhero alter-ego of Leela.??Violent for justice!??My combo champ.

Flosshilde - Another character from Der Ring, Flosshilde is a water sprite who lives in the Rhine river.??In the very beginning, she and her two sisters were charged with keeping watch over a magical lump of gold.??This gold, in the hands of one who renounces all love, can be made into the One Ring (to rule them all!) and is obviously very dangerous.??When a scruffy dwarf idles by the river, the three sprites tease him mercilessly, and he gets pissed and depressed.??He renounces love because three girls think he's ugly, and then steals the gold and initiates the destruction of the world.??I give the sisters partial blame for all the stuff that transpired.

Lina Inverse - Just a girl ... who likes fire.??The main character of the anime franchise Slayers, I took the original concept of her and made a battlesage.

Lexica - My star gladiator who carries 12500 weight worth of fish.??The name is based on the word "lexicon" - another word for dictionary.

Yuukan - The character of a friend who has since moved on to other games.??I keep his alch alive, with the baaadass sheepy Dolomite.??Dolomite is the name of a rock, used as a joke in Futurama, referencing Dolemite the character played by Rudy Ray Moore in a series of Blaxploitation flicks.??Dolemite is a pimp trained in karate, with a harem of kung-fu action chixorz.

Jango - Another of my friend's characters.??From the anime One Piece, Jango is a messed-up pirate hypnotist.??In RO, he's an autocast sin using fireblend/ice falchion who never walks when he can backslide.??Good for a laugh.

GF13-017NJ - The bane of my existence.??I hate wasting a character on asura build, it's either limited function or poor damage.??And either way it's almost totally impractical with combo builds that I enjoy.??Thus, to spare Clobberella the embarassment, I made a monk for asura.??The name comes from a terrible member of the great Gundam franchise, G Gundam.??The main character is irritating, and his mech has only one good attack, "SHINING FINGER!!"??I hate him and everything he stands for, I hate wasting a char on asura, and I hate the necessity of having asura.??I hate my idiot monk.
