So... what are we even voting for?

I am referring to Vote 4 Points: one of the link is even dead itself. The other functioning link leads to a barely functioning page where it takes insane effort to actually vote. Strangely enough, seems like points are rewarded by clicking on to the links of the voting page, not the actual vote itself. So for 2017, what is the point to them...?


Instead, aren't they pretty much more effective if they are converted to "daily login bonus"? They are probably more helpful as incentive to get people to at least log on server (which they may end up staying and grind a bit anyway) compare to clicking some dead links in the CP.
