RE: MVP Mini-Muspel KS

You're allowed to pneuma an MVP.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, we are not changing anything now, but we are considering some suggestions for the future, including lowering the surtur's exp a bit and adding exp on crossing the portal.

Remember: events are for everyone, it's not "your" event because you use the bag.

Someone is being lazy? I wholeheartedly agree that it sucks! Unfortunately, there will always be lazy people.

So in General,is this the current state of the rules???

Bc i thought thats settled in the mvp dominating rules, the Party who engages the MVP first is the dominating Party who basically sets the strategy.
Other Partys can hit the mvp but cant interfere with the strategy (ie if you sw tank an mvp the other party is not allowed to lp your sw and cant pneuma vs ranged attackers/sw vs champs.)If a Party dies/retreats and loses aggro dominating party can change of course

Is that a special Surtur thing bc domination rule doesnt apply to quest mvps or am i generally allowed to pneuma an mvp vs ranged partys?

Bc so far i dont do it (maining hp) but seen other people do it and always thoughts its illegal (pneumaing/s.walling an mvp doesnt help a bit with own strategy, its jsut a measure to screw with other peoples strategy).

Well, apparently you can 'indirectly' affect a player using Pneuma or safety wall on the MVP. But what is more questionable is the 'etc' since it can be argued to be what Demogorgon is saying.

RE: MVP Mini-Muspel KS

MVPs are Free for all, there's no party domination or anything. You are allowed to pneuma/safety wall MVP, unless that will affect player directly.
Example:
Pneumaing MVP from sniper - legal.
Pneumaing MVP while priest is trying to tank it with Safety Wall, thus ruining coming Safety Wall cast (aka casting pneuma on player/MVP between safety walls) - illegal.
Intentionally warping player somewhere while he's walking to MVP - illegal.
Making MVP warp away/heal itself - legal.

Hope this will make it more clear.

RE: MVP Mini-Muspel KS

i see, noted, though i think its bullshit.if i do orcus with champ and sniper comes ill just ruin all the fun of them playing and our competition if i spam pneumas, getting rid of domination rule is bad for the meta imo, just screwing each other over just lead to bad blood and less fun

RE: MVP Mini-Muspel KS

Ah, but it doesn't have to. It would actually help grow the meta. Now if you want to Sniper and you know there might be champ competition (or an enemy high priest) you better bring a Professor to LP. So then they need to try to counter that. As long as people understand it's a game and a competition for MVP and don't get pissed off about it I think it's great fun.

Some of my favorite MVP competitions were actually over something as simple as GTB. Having a Prof, HWiz, WS, Creator, and Priest all there helping out to counter other teams (and then other teams bringing something new that we couldn't counter, and vice versa). Again, as long as people don't get too serious / angry / rage-y at each other it's all in good fun and (imo) makes things far more exciting.

EDIT: Garr (or other GMs) what would be legal in the following (admittedly weird) scenario:

Team A = High Priest / Champ
Team B = Solo Sniper (or Creator) and Prof

Team A is using a weird SW-Tank with HP while Champ slowly Asuras (let's pretend). Team B (even if they had a priest) could not Pneuma to stop the HP's SW, but let's say the HP drops a Pneuma one-cell behind the MVP. Thus the MVP is Pneuma'd but the priest can still SW where he's standing (see below: P = Pneuma, M = MVP, S = SW).

Code:
P P P x
P P M S
P P P x

So in this case the HP (who is somehow managing to keep up SW and Pneuma - let's pretend) is not doing anything illegal. However he is successfully using Pneuma to stop the Team B Sniper from competing. Would the Team B Prof be allowed to drop a Land Protector to stop Pneuma and, if so, is it really fair to punish him if he's off by one cell and gets rid of the SW? Isn't it also partially the priests fault for putting a "hostile" pneuma so close to his SW?

- Albus Dumbledore 99/70 Professor - Albus DumbIedore 92/59 Professor
- AIbus Dumbledore 93/50 Wizard - AIbus DumbIedore 1/1 Novice
- Astaroth 99/70 Creator - Dawkins 99/70 Creator
- Exemplar 98/69 Paladin - Equitas 80/47 Paladin
- Mephistopheles 95/65 Lord Knight - Shogo Kawada 97/67 Stalker

RE: MVP Mini-Muspel KS

That is indeed a weird scenario, but if it happens my word would be that Professor should be punished. If priest would be able to control both SW and pneuma while tanking, I'd say professor should be able to control his own LP (aka knowing it's bounds) to not touch the SW outside of battle.

This might turn into a fun game if priest will start moving his SW backwards, and pneumaing MVP again when he moves out of LP.
