did u even try to google it?
more like 8 - 12 hrs? even Australia and China are 3 hrs apart and they r so close together.... and most of the Asain players in heRO came from philipines, Indonesia and etc which is somewhere between the Sydney and Beijing timezone....

and most of the EU players here come from German/Francer or EVEN FURTHER ( Italy Portugal etc.... )

now lets do an average calaulation according to google.......
the time difference between Sydney and Berlin is 9 - 10 yrs ( 10 now cuz its daylight savings )

and the time difference between Sydney and Lisbon is 10 - 11 yrs.......

YES SO MUCH FOR UR 4-5 HR APART....

indonesia (official time, indonesia is seperated to 3 different timezone because its big) is 4 hour apart from sydney.
beijing/singapore/malaysi/phil is 1hour apart from indonesia.
japan is 1hour apart from beijing/singapore/malaysia.

at least get your facts straight before you rage on someone

Crazylor Wrote:I think instead of trying out third WoE for a month, try a friendlier time for a month or so. It's alot easier to do, and it can be easier to figure out what times everyone wants. Admins should make a thread about it, and have everyone vote on the times they are most comfortable with or at least willing to go to at.
won't work... the 3 major time zones (US/CAD, Asia, EU) all have something like a 7 - 10 hrs difference between each other there is no way that we can find a "one time suits all" so its better to have 2 or 3 different woes. Sure this might spilt the sever... But This will bring a BIGGER POPULATION....

In my previous sever (where Rakin and etc once was... ) The woe time was only suited for USA/CAD and EU timezone... ( 4am for AUS ) when ppl from Australia and Philipines asked to have a woe time change all the French players pretty much just told us to f*** off... in the end lots of Asain-Pacific guilds and players left the sever (I was one of them along with my guild and many friends at the time).?? After that the sever population gradually dropped from 1000 to 400ish cuz many non-asain players left too due to the reduction in population.

I dont think this will repeat in heRO because most of the Asain players r used to this woe time now... as pretty much all the prviet severs r located in USA/CAD. HOWEVER IF WE MAKE A WOE TIME SUITED FOR THEM... WE MIGHT BE ABLE TO ATTRACT MORE POPULATION.

And yet, the main facts that actually make a difference to this discussion are correct!

Lisbon and Sydney ARE 10 hours apart.

Sydney

Lisbon

The server usually refers to the Asian/Australian timezone together, instead of an Asian AND an Australian, but like Europe.

For reference, Rotterdam is an hour ahead of Lisbon, and I know a few people around here are Dutch.

Why cater solely to the biggest European WoE guild? They seem perfectly fine with the current time seeing as how they WoE in it.

I don't support the idea either, but I did have to point out that far end of Europe and opposite end of Asia/Australia are not 4-5 hours apart. They are almost opposite.

RE: Make a 3rd day of woe for asian/europian

its 9ish hrs difference.... i duno how u searched this but the link u give me says its

Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at 4:09 PM in Italy Now..
The time in Sydney now is
Thursday, October 28, 2010 at 1:10 AM

MAKES IT 9 HRS DIFFERENCE. and BEIJING is 2 hrs apart from SYD, makes it 7 HR difference... the rest of Asia-Pacific (where most heRO asains r from) would be 7 - 9 hrs away from it too.

7 - 9 and 3-5 is a big difference.....

Beijing is currently 3 hours behind Sydney, as Sydney started Daylights Savings about a month ago.

So, the difference between Italy and Beijing at the moment is 6 hours.
7 hours between Italy and Sydney.

Hiro;

Read above.
Most of the server, and indeed the GM Team themself count Australia and Asia together.

U shouldnt compare EU and Asia... Since most of the heRO Asains comes from the Asain-Pacific Timezone. (where AUS and Japan r pretty close to it too)
