I am using windows 7, 3gb ddr3 memory, and system suite proffesional as my anti virus(set to run scans every week). The problem I am having is that after about an hour of play or if I enter thors/highly mobby areas my computers cpu goes to 100 and I have incredible lag. The memory usage is at 1.75 when this occurs and I have no idea whats going on. Also I am having issues with freezing on load screens though I'm not sure the problem is related. heros usage: 59k memory and 75 cpu.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Any info you may need I'll be happy to give. I have also disabled windows 7 features to try and speed it up but to no avail.
This computer has had a virus and was wiped clean and before that hero worked perfectly.
Make sure the heRO client is run as admin, not sure why so much of the computer ressources get taken though, can you think of anything else you changed since you re-installed?
do what panda said, and make sure your antivirus isn't messing with hero. I've had issues in the past with norton trying to eat the hero patcher, and i've had to set it to "allow".
one other question, do you have hero in your program files x86? or just program files :o? i've found that sometimes switching which folder the client is in can help (I had to do that with my gameboy advance emulator, might work for the client :o)
wouldn't hurt to defrag and run a diskcleanup on your computer either, just to make sure you're keeping as much space available as possible >w<
Similar to what Lena says, I heard someone before recommend not putting hero in any program file folder at all, havent tested to see if that helps any however, but worth a try, specially if it was in another folder before.
Still having issues and I've tried alot of advice from other players and to no avail. I am desperate to fix this and have even re-installed twice since then. So the only thing I can think of is to try miruku. Which I'm still fuzzy on how exactly to do this. Would it require me to re-install again, because thats not a problem.
On a side note I have gotten error msgs and but they are very few and far between, perhaps a headgear caused me to crash? I always use the patcher to start hero and thought this fixed that problem. And the only gear I've known to do that is the rainbow scarf, do you know how often I see people wearing a rainbow scarf? NEVER lol
Hm... I don't have any new advice, but I seem to be crashing a lot on load screens lately as well (but am not experiencing the CPU issues). I'll try to look into it later tonight and let you know if I have any success messing with stuff.
