Question on Server Rules

I've noticed that the topic of "Client Modification" is not contained within the Server Rules thread. Are -COSMETIC- alterations to the client permitted? Like, if I'd like to implement my own custom Aura that can only be seen on my end, could I do so?

Yes, as well as those 3rd class sprite packs too.
As long as it's only cosmetic, it's okay.

I am going to change all bosses then into Detales, is that okay? What if I also want to change my hide sprite to be Spring Rabbits? :o

Those aren't "only cosmetic", Aaronock.

He could change those sprites, but the boss monsters would still behave like the boss it is... It's a client-side change. To change boss behavior, you would have to change settings on the server.

Also, you can't opt to SHOW a sprite if your sprite is HIDDEN. Lol. Now, you can change your sprite to be a Spring Rabbit if you go in motion, that way people with Boxes of Sunshine/ Maya Purple will see a blacked out Spring Rabbit. The only downside is that your REGULAR walk sprite will be a Spring Rabbit as well lol... And only you could see it.

Unless potentially making your life easier with said cosmetic change counts as non-cosmetic.

There is a reason to change MvPs to Detale, so I doubt that counts as cosmetic. XD


As for Aaron's second question, I'm guessing Mystia won't be a threat when it comes to modifying things if that is what they think.
