How do you refer to soft drinks?

I just call it soda or Coke.??But what do YOU call it?!

Yes.??It is.?? It's called soda because of something that has to do with sodium bicarbonate or something like that.??What they use or used to use in carbonating the soda.

It's called soft drinks because a "hard" drink is one with alcohol in it.??XP

And of course we call it Coke because of the name brand.??Just like frisbee, velcro and yoyo.??

Pop is just silly.??

Actually I only refer to them genericly as "soda". "Coke" is ruled out as a generic term for me since I use it to mix with hard liquor on occasion. Not really a soft drink at that point.

And 'pop' is either an onomatopoeia (say that 5 times fast x_x) or a reference to your father.

Also, Krim's chart was clearly related. He used the word correlation and everything!

Sorry to be Canadian! But we say Pop here if you say soda your bound to get a 'sparkling water' or soda water nasty stuff.

Don't hate on the way we where raised ;p

Altho to be fair I tend to ask for the type of 'soda'. So a pepsi or sprite.
