I'm not?against?the anti-piracy thing, but giving the??Entertainment industry to practically be able to Sue or even jail people for simply humming a tune and posting it online is a bit excessive. Also??it'd probably destroy ANY RO server that isn't hosted by the officials.??Mainly because??Private servers are technically stealing their business..

Those bills call for a near complete restructure of the internet, and are extremely vague on what it does and does not cover. a person who uploads a family video up on youtube, and a random passerby who just happens to be whistling some Frank Sinatra gets caught in the background, the person who uploaded it can be sued/jailed for it.

I predict total Anarchy should these bills pass. The government will melt down and it'd be a war between Hollywood and the Millions of people who would usually give them money. Not even that fancy shmancy Pyrotechnics will save them.

Seriously though, who is to stop them from shutting down Google, who allows people to access these pirated sites? My bet is that if you don't pay the gov't enough money if this passes, you get any and all access to your site shut down. I wouldn't hold it past them to do that.
