It's not just you I see ???? and I do to smell a bad plot and I hear the ban hammer being hardened. If it's something the GM's actually are doing to spice up the auction good luck. It's hard to make an auction interesting.

Sister, please! The humans have done so much for us! They've helped us put Fairy Land back together, they have given assistance, friendship, they help us guard our lands and protect our people. These auctions help strengthen the bond between us fae and the humans. It is the least we can do after all they've done for us. Please, please sister! I will not give up on you. The humans, they're kind-hearted. Give them a chance!

The humans are the ones who destroyed Fairy Land in the first place! They only "help" because they're interested in all the gear and trinkets you auction off. It's only a matter of time before they reveal their true nature! But you are too blind to see this.

So~ in other words... the ???? is actually a scapegoat and that the real mastermind is Pixie who told us to come in battle to use 'humans' as a way to claim the thrown and kill her sister through a third party outside the fairy kingdom.
