Last night, Lutia came under attack by Eudoxie's forces. According to government officials, they targeted the main towns in order to distract everyone long enough for them to take the fourth mirror fragment hidden beneath The Great Library.

A large group of heroes assisted in the protection of the towns, and chased after Ostellos and Eudoxie to Kaldheim's library. In the end, however, the terrorists' efforts were all in vain, as the mirror fragment had been taken away out of Lutia minutes after the attack began. Eudoxie and Ostellos escaped after being eventually defeated, and most of the captured attackers were imprisoned.

Damage to the towns' infrastructure was minimal, but many were wounded in the attack, and several lives were lost, including that of Lorens Andersen, mayor of Kaldheim.

During a press conference this morning with Adelaide Adlersflugel of the International Anti-Terrorism Task Force, the origins of the Mirror Fragments Ostellos and Eudoxie were revealed. According to her, the mirror was used in ancient times by Dark Lord to cross over to our world. The fiend desired to conquer this world for his own, and Midgard knew only death and destruction until a group of heroes managed to send the fiend back to the Demon Realm. Some time later, the mirror was shattered into four pieces and scattered across the world, not causing any more trouble, until last year.

Sources close to Adlersflugel say the mirror fragment has been taken to Geffen to be researched. This has already raised concerns among citizens, who claim having such an artefact in town puts the city at risk of being attacked.

Due to a mistake in the NPC to close Lutia, where lutia01 and lutia02 were included in the list of areas to be closed despite being permanent additions, the region will remain open until next reboot.

However, please note that some NPCs will be hidden, either because they died during the Siege of Lutia, or because they are no longer in the region.

Chronicle of Heroes ~ Darkness Rising, Orcish Menace

During the past few days, orcs have been sighted outside of the territories the government has granted to them. Their troops have moved northward, attacking travelers who come across them, and even raiding Repherion Castle in Britoniah, keeping it as a stronghold. Their motives are unknown, but Geffen's Mayor has assured us at The Midgard Times that an investigation is under way.

In other, possibly unrelated news, Glast Heim has seen an unusual increase in dark activity recently. In the past 3 days, at least 6 adventurers have died and 4 have been seriously injured. Midnight Jack and Hanz Von Abendroth have also been sighted within the ruins, leading some to believe Eudoxie and Ostellos may be behind the recent events.

Chronicle of Heroes ~ Darkness Rising, Orcish Menace

Geffen's Mayor has requested the help of 12 nobles that will travel with Adelaide Adlersflugel to the Orc Lands. Their mission is to find the Orc Chief, find out why they have been expanding northward, and negotiate a peaceful retreat back to their territory.

Why nobles? Well, the Orcs Tribe leader(s) generally negotiate better with people of power or authority.


This event will take place this Sunday, April 16th, 2017, at 9:00 PM EST.


Event Details:

- Only 12 Nobles of level 89 or higher can participate in this event.
- To register, you must post here the character you will join with, along with a screenshot of your character wearing the noble gem as proof of nobility. Only the first 12 nobles who post will be selected.
- There will be 2 parts to this event, a PVM portion, which will involve a raid upon the orc tribe's territory, and an RP portion, in which participants must talk to the Orc Chief to find out why the tribe is advancing northward, and negotiate with him.
