==English==
To play this server everyone must understand and be able to write a comprehensible English. If a GM addresses you, you must be able to understand, answer and comply. Those who have problems which English should do efforts, but obviously we don't ask for perfection, simply a level high enough to allow communication.

==Be respectful to everyone==
Insulting, the use of swears, discrimination, racism, sexism or any other offending comments may result in punishment. That goes for everywhere, especially on the Main Chat for everyone. Do not purposely kill other players outside of PvP/GvG enabled map via any means. This also includes usage any skill what so ever to defend, buff, heal, kill steal, undo aggro status or steal a non-MVP monster, unless the person asked for you to do so. Follow the MVP Domination Rule regarding these actions for a MVP.

==Use English on Main==
The Main channel must be used in English only. You can write any languages in other chats though but main stays English.

==Do Not Spoil Custom Quests in Public==
Details/Locations on any heRO custom additions or quests are not to be mentioned using @main or public forums. However, players are allowed to ask questions regarding these heRO custom quests in public, but answers must be given through other chats, PMs or in private forums.

==Restriction in Naming Conventions==
Below is the list of letters/numbers/symbols allowed in creation of a character's name. Make sure to also choose a name that is appropriate (aka no slander, profanity, insult, etc!). Player names who do not respect this rule will be sent to jail until a new name is chosen, the character can also be deleted if the name is too offensive. Using similar name as an existing player to carry out malicious act or to purposely ruin the player's reputation is also a punished offense.

 Allowed characters:
 ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890_-~^().:!?@$%&+='

 You cannot make character whose name starts with "GM-", "GM", "Event-" or "Event" (or the small caps of them). These are reserved for GM usages.

 The "appropriate" rule also goes for anything else a player has to choose a name for, such as party name, guild name, guild title, pet/homunculus name, shop name, chat room name, etc.

==Kill Steal (KS) for Non-MvP Monsters==
Do not hit a monsters that "belongs" to another players. Any monster that is attacking/chasing the player, or if the player is also attacking that monster, counts as "belonging" to that player. KS rules do not apply in any public DB room or any GM hosted events unless stated otherwise by the GMs.

==MvP Domination Rule==
 All of the MVPs are free to be attacked by any player, included MVPs summoned by Quest. However, the first one/first party present at a MvP will be considered the "dominating party." To be present, this means engaging the MvP so that either the player/party are attacking the MvP, or the MvP is attacking (or clearly chasing) that player/party.

 Participation in the attack to the MVP must not interfere in the strategy that the dominating player/party is using and must try to mold to this.

 Based on the above, the following will be illegal:
*Your presence in the elimination of the MVP tears down the strategy of the dominating player/party
*Your attacks to the MVP repeatedly cause the use of "Teleport" beyond the frequency of accidental human error
*Your interference causes the death of the others competing for the MVP if you bring alien mobs to the MVP or don’t know how to control the slaves of the MVP
*Your attack causes no effect or real damage to the MVP except to lure it away
*You pretend ignorance regarding a Strategy, MVP's slave control or other MVP related knowledge. You are held responsible that if you decide to MVP, you understand all aspects of the MVP's behavior. Ignorance will not be accepted as a reason to violate MVP Domination rule *EXCEPT* for newly released MVPs, where there will be a 2 week grace period starting from time of release for all players to learn and figure out aspects of new MVPs.

 “Strategic MVP Support” may be use to eliminate the MVP, as long as the strategy is justified and does not solely intended to prevent others to come and kill it. This includes using Safety Wall to prevent the MvP's Pneuma (and vice versa), or land protector, but is not limited to only these spells.

 Any spells that can boost a MVP's offensive power or restore their Hit Points cannot be used on the MVP by anyone except members of the dominating party.

 A dominating party loses its status when the party dies or no longer engages the MVP (that is, no longer attacking the MVP and/or no longer being attacked by the MVP.) Even if the previous party returns, they do not regain their dominating status. Should the MVP be the one who teleports away, then domination status is reset, and whoever engages the MVP first becomes the new dominating party.

 These rules do not apply to a MVP's slaves, any MVP in GM events or MVPs public DB room unless stated otherwise by a GM.

==Do Not Beg==
Players used work or wits to gain their items/zeny. Do the same, don't go around begging for items or money.

==Do Not Bot/Macro==
Botting will result in a permanent ban of all accounts and any type of macro will result in a permanent account ban, no exceptions. Failure to pass the botting/macro test from GMs, regardless of "actual reasons," will be treated as using bots or macro programs.

==No AFK Leveling/hunting==
No one is allowed in anyway or form to level/hunt AFK with the means of any pet, homunculus, @autotrade, item, skill or card.

==Do Not Loot Steal==
Do not steal the loots of other people, be it from monsters or when a player is unloading pets. Items on the ground, especially if unloaded from the pet, still counts as the player's property.

==Vending Shops and Chatrooms==
Do no set vending shops or chat within a 7x7 area (3 cell radius) of any NPC, including warps. Only one vender can occupy one cell. In Prontera, shops and chat boxes can only be set up on the side walks. Vending Shops can only be put up in a town (except for Niflheim) or maps without *any* monsters.

==Do Not Cheat==
If you find a bug or abuse, report it immediately to the GM Team via PM on the forum. Failure to report a bug or abuse is considered a violation of this rule and the passives will be seriously punished.

==No advertising for any server/website/game==
Do not advertise any other server/website/game. Mentioning another server can be considered advertising. Mentioning official server names are allowed.

==Do not break DB/BB randomly anywhere/everywhere==
Do not break DB/BB outside of DB Rooms. Take care of your accidental DB/BB, or transformed monsters by equipment effects. Cry for help immediately on @main if the transformed monster is too strong for you to handle alone (including if it is in town or no-exp loss map.).

==No Blockage of Castles' Entrances==
During WOE it is forbidden to cast ICE WALL, use any skill or items that would prevent players from entering a castle. /notrade is available to all players.

==Double-clienting is forbidden==
That is: you're only allowed to ever have 1 RO client open per real physical actual person. You are not allowed to log more than 1 RO client be it on the same computer or on two separate computers. (2 separate real people playing in the same house is fine however.)

==Mushroom/Plant Limit==
When using the creator skill to create mushrooms or plants you must not go over 200 total at the same time. 200 mushrooms=ok, 201 mushrooms= not ok, 100 mushrooms+100 plants=ok 101 mushrooms+100 plants= not ok because it makes a total of 201.

==No trans/extended jobs in alde castle==
No trans (reborn) or extended job (ninja, gunner, taekwon family) is allowed in aldebaran castle. If a such a job ends up in it with the Guild Recall skill, then they have to leave immediately, by using a butterfly wing or logging out. Walking is not an option to leave the castle, and attacking players is a punishable offense.

==Regarding Alchemist/Creator's Homunculus==
The heRO AI is sure to comply with our specific rules regarding homunculus, using it is recommended.

 Players are also free to use their own written ai, as long as they follow server rules.

 - No killstealing!
 The homunculus is bound by the same rules as its owner, and must not attack a monster that belongs to another player.
 - No auto-alchemist skills.
 The AI is meant to control the homunculus only, you are not allowed to use it to control your alchemist/creator character.
 - No AFK leveling.
 Afk leveling will be considered the same as botting, if you must go away from keyboard do so in a monsterless map or send your homunculus to sleep.

==Regarding shared accounts==
Account sharing is not our responsibility and is not encouraged by the GM team. The GM team will not consider movement of items due to account sharing as an act of stealing. The selling/trading of an entire account counts as a form of sharing account.

==Regarding stolen items not from a shared account==
If you have an unmodified screenshot of an item(s) being lended and yet failed to get the item back, this is considered stealing and items will be returned back to the owner, the report needs to be as clear as possible with a precice time frame. Item retrieval does NOT apply if the other person is banned - any items regardless of origin are always permanently locked with the banned account (unless the account is banned precisely because of stealing in the first place.)

==Do Not Tolerate/Assist in Rule-breaking Activities==
Inaction to cover up a rule-breaking act committed by someone else, such as not reporting a bot due to being in the same guild/friends, not reporting fully banned member returning to heRO*, can also count as an offense. You should report on rule breakers as soon as possible.

 *Note: Normally when a player is banned, they are allowed to start totally fresh. However, there are fully banned players who are not welcomed in heRO and are not allowed to play even if they are willing to start fresh:

We try to ensure that there is on average, a total of 3-7 events within a week, if possible. GMs will also vary the time of when these events occur as much as their real life schedule permits, but there is no guarantee that this is always the case.

==Last Men Standing Event==

Last men standing is a pvp event based on a free-for-all basic. Winners are the ones still alive when time is over, regardless to how many players they killed.

==Joining==

To join last men standing, you need to stay or join a castle right after the first of sunday WoEs. 3 minutes after WoE has ended, players still in castles are automatically teleported to the Last men standing map. There are no registration fee.

==Process==

1. There is a set-up time in which you can move before pvp is enabled.

2. You have 5 minutes to kill each others. Players in team and guild can hurt each others.

3. Once the time is over, those alive have to hurry and talk to the NPC in the middle to register for the prize. They have one minute to register.

4. Once registration time is over, registered winners have a minute to claim their prize.

5. Players still in the map are warped to the PvP.

==Rewards==

The reward is calculated this way :

* Add 100k zeny per player warped inside the room.
* Divide the total per person alive AND registered for the prize.
* For every 100k of reward an alive person gets, a Gold is also awarded.

If you play games with him he will randomly select one of his hats to give you. There are 5 games to play with him, once you're done with the 5th you'll receive your headgear. You can repeat the quest as many time as you'd like.

Apart from the Hat Game, the Hatter can also recolor certain special hats, he just recently started offering this service. You will need to have the hat to get it colored, as well as some items and herbs he will require. The ones that you will be colored will be as follows:

*Note2: Once you color a hat, you cannot decolor it or recolor it, so make sure you select carefully ^_^

Apart from the Hat Game, the Hatter can also recolor certain special hats, he just recently started offering this service. You will need to have the hat to get it colored, as well as some items and herbs he will require. The ones that you will be colored will be as follows:

*Note1: Those are recolor from Gravity, not made by the heRO staff, please don't ask for your favorite hat if it's not in this list, also I think Gravity are somewhat colorblind.. some of their white/grey hat are more like brown, you can see the color of each hat by clicking on the links above.

*Note2: Once you color a hat, you cannot decolor it or recolor it, so make sure you select carefully ^_^

==Hemerald's Elemental Wings==

Long, long ago, there was a small village located near Geffen called Eraldhur. This village was popular for its magic school leaded by Sir Hemeral Straberough, a powerful High Wizard well known for his research about magic. Hemeral, knew about some secrets on the ancient magic and was working on a new type of special wings that could grant the elemental property to anyone. Four pairs of these powerful Elemental Wings were made, designed after the element of fire, water, wind and earth. However, he died when Eraldhur was plunged into flames for reasons unknown.

 However, Hemeral scattered his students, the Elementalists, to various parts of the world before he died. Each of them enjoy to spend time in places where they could surpass their abilities and increase their knowledge about their respective elements. ==Thanatos Tower Party==

Up in a tower under the excavation and maintenance of the Rebenker Company is a group of brave adventurers who try to challenge the great MvP of the tower, "Memory of Thanatos." However, due to various problems such as the lack of equipment, injuries in battle, personal quarrels between party members, and curiosity leading the party members astray, the party is completely separated and broken up. The party leader who waits for his party members up in Thanatos Tower F12 hopes that someone can lend a hand for their party so they will gather up again and defeat "Memory of Thanatos" together as a team.

==Zodiac Gate Quest==

In the city of Yuno reside the Time master and the 12 brothers that were entrusted with the sacred task to guard the seals.

Each brother is responsible for the seal of a month and will need proof of your worthyness to open the seal. They can each open a seal, but only the time master can open the Gate of Time that leads to the timeless room, and only if all 12 monthly seals were opened first.

The timeless room is the domain of the Zodiac master and his 3 sisters. All 4 of them hold gifts for the travellers that reach the timeless room. In addition, the Zodiac master is also the maker of a magical Zodiac Stone that spawns beautiful colored wings in your back. He can also dress you up with his Zodiac color palette.

Up in a tower under the excavation and maintenance of the Rebenker Company is a group of brave adventurers who try to challenge the great MvP of the tower, "Memory of Thanatos." However, due to various problems such as the lack of equipment, injuries in battle, personal quarrels between party members, and curiosity leading the party members astray, the party is completely separated and broken up. The party leader who waits for his party members up in Thanatos Tower F12 hopes that someone can lend a hand for their party so they will gather up again and defeat "Memory of Thanatos" together as a team.

Each brother is responsible for the seal of a month and will need proof of your worthyness to open the seal. They can each open a seal, but only the time master can open the Gate of Time that leads to the timeless room, and only if all 12 monthly seals were opened first.

The timeless room is the domain of the Zodiac master and his 3 sisters. All 4 of them hold gifts for the travellers that reach the timeless room. In addition, the Zodiac master is also the maker of a magical Zodiac Stone that spawns beautiful colored wings in your back. He can also dress you up with his Zodiac color palette.

==Hemerald's Elemental Wings==

Long, long ago, there was a small village located near Geffen called Eraldhur. This village was popular for its magic school leaded by Sir Hemeral Straberough, a powerful High Wizard well known for his research about magic. Hemeral, knew about some secrets on the ancient magic and was working on a new type of special wings that could grant the elemental property to anyone. Four pairs of these powerful Elemental Wings were made, designed after the element of fire, water, wind and earth. However, he died when Eraldhur was plunged into flames for reasons unknown.

 However, Hemeral scattered his students, the Elementalists, to various parts of the world before he died. Each of them enjoy to spend time in places where they could surpass their abilities and increase their knowledge about their respective elements. Perhaps the Elementalists are the only ones who can reassemble Sir Hemerald's Elemental Wings in this world...

==The Allegiance Quests==

When talking to the Allegiance NPC, you'll notice we used 2 very distinctive colors for Light related words (a sorta peach/beige) and Dark related words (dark purple), if you see those colors again you can be sure that the NPC has something to do with the Light VS Dark system.

 The Allegiance Quests are a collection of quests that can help you earn Light and Dark points for the [[Light/Dark Allegiance- heRO Roleplay|Allegiance System]] in heRO. An old pervert Naru resides in the Einbroch Hotel, but he has the unique ability to make a pair of wings that make light as a feather, giving you bonus agility and movement speed.

 To obtain this hat, you need to to have started fishing and possess a certain fishing related item. Talk to the man who showed you how to start fishing and carry that item with you, and choose the option to talk more with him.

If you are any class but a Novice/Baby Novice, visit the shop in the southwestern part of Prontera, and complete a simple item collection quest to earn yourself an unique "Haircut Coupon" so you can get an unique custom hairstyle from Styla in Prontera!

==Hemerald's Elemental Wings==

Long, long ago, there was a small village located near Geffen called Eraldhur. This village was popular for its magic school leaded by Sir Hemeral Straberough, a powerful High Wizard well known for his research about magic. Hemeral, knew about some secrets on the ancient magic and was working on a new type of special wings that could grant the elemental property to anyone. Four pairs of these powerful Elemental Wings were made, designed after the element of fire, water, wind and earth. However, he died when Eraldhur was plunged into flames for reasons unknown.

 However, Hemeral scattered his students, the Elementalists, to various parts of the world before he died. Each of them enjoy to spend time in places where they could surpass their abilities and increase their knowledge about their respective elements. Perhaps the Elementalists are the only ones who can reassemble Sir Hemerald's Elemental Wings in this world...

You can find him lurking in the garden in front of Freya's Temple (North of Rachel) enjoying the beautiful scenery. Talk to him and you can initiate the quest for Mr. Hatter.

Be a proud member of the Nobility in Rune Midgard, forever honored even by King Tristan III himself! The treasury of gold reserves for Rune Midgard has been running low due to recent wars and other necessary spendings. Therefore, the king will award the Nobility Status to anyone who can help in refilling the treasury. Answer to the king's royal decree regarding the treasury and Nobility is in reach!

==Thanatos Tower Party==

Up in a tower under the excavation and maintenance of the Rebenker Company is a group of brave adventurers who try to challenge the great MvP of the tower, "Memory of Thanatos." However, due to various problems such as the lack of equipment, injuries in battle, personal quarrels between party members, and curiosity leading the party members astray, the party is completely separated and broken up. The party leader who waits for his party members up in Thanatos Tower F12 hopes that someone can lend a hand for their party so they will gather up again and defeat "Memory of Thanatos" together as a team.

 Note: In heRO server, any class can enter the upper portion of Thanatos Tower if they are at Level 99 and pay a fee. Transcendent classes can enter the tower at any level.

For helping her, she may reduce the cost needed to unlock these cities with some small gifts, along with giving you a basic introduction to some of heRO server's attractions and customs!

==Zodiac Gate Quest==

In the city of Yuno reside the Time master and the 12 brothers that were entrusted with the sacred task to guard the seals.

Each brother is responsible for the seal of a month and will need proof of your worthyness to open the seal. They can each open a seal, but only the time master can open the Gate of Time that leads to the timeless room, and only if all 12 monthly seals were opened first.

The timeless room is the domain of the Zodiac master and his 3 sisters. All 4 of them hold gifts for the travellers that reach the timeless room. In addition, the Zodiac master is also the maker of a magical Zodiac Stone that spawns beautiful colored wings in your back. He can also dress you up with his Zodiac color palette.
