Assist Princess Rumika and her bloodline in removal of the Crimson Curse. For your efforts, you will be awarded allegiance points and Takius's Blindfold.
Quest
1. Find Princess Rumika in Amatsu at the pond in the Northeast section of town (294, 209). When you speak with her, you’ll feel an eerie aura emanating from her. Ask her if you can be of any assistance and reply that, “you have a lot of time on your hands.” And last, tell her where you came from. After a bit more dialogue, she hands you a parcel and asks you to visit her friend Hanae in Alberta.
Optional: Speak with the Vetinarian, Sakura Seiichi, South of Princess Rumiko (274, 178) to learn further backstory regarding the white trees in the area.
2. Go to Alberta and find Lady Hanae Kazane at harbor (156, 149). When prompted, tell her, “Um… excuse me?”
3.Hanae Kazane will speak to you, but warn you the demon in the cursed parcel you handed her needs to be resealed. She asks for you to provide her with Amulet x10, Panacea x30, Torn Magic Book x20 and Worn-out Magic Scroll x10
4. When you return with the items, a voice will speak in your head. You are then cursed with Hanae when she sealed the demon. She tells you that she does not know how to remove the curse and to find Miharu Kazakami in Izlude.
5. Make your way to Izlude, then go to the Northwest side of town behind the Weapon/Armor Shop (58,176). When speaking to Miharu Kazakami, choose the second dialogue option, and she will then tell you to find her a, “symbol of eternal love.” She is referring to a Witherless Rose.
6. Return to Miharu with the Witherless Rose x1. For the dialogue prompts, choose the second response again, followed by, “Here it is.” Miharu then tells you to find someone in the, “realm of the dead.” Your next destination now is Nifflehiem.
7. Once you’ve arrived in Niffleheim, you can find the Witch Apprentice on the floating rocks on the right side of the map. (263, 143).
8. Once you speak with this apprentice, she tells you that you need to perform a ritual to understand the origins of the curse. She will request you bring her Crystal Fragment x20, Crystal Mirror x1, 3Carat Diamond x1, and Dark Crystal Fragment x20.
9. With all the items, return to the Witch Apprentice, when you give them to her, a voice will try to speak to you and begs you to relay a message to Princess Hanabe. The Apprentice then informs you she knows a guy who keeps up with royal and noble bloodlines. He can be found in Prontera and goes by the last name of Windsor.
10. Gregory Windsor is found inside the Prontera Chilvary in the Northwest side of town. You can find him behind the counter near the Recruiter for Prontera Culverts. He tells you Hanabe’s backstory and that her only living relative is her great great grandson Shinjioko Hanabe. Her grandson is a traveling minstrel and could be anywhere in the world, but he does add that you could visit Princess Hinable’s grave behind the Prontera Church.
11. Leave the building and go to the backside of the Church on the Northeast side of Prontera. You’ll find a Young Minstrel there (273, 343).
12. This Young Minstrel happens to be Shijioko Hanabe! You speak with him, and tell him your story and how you came to find him. He is relieved, and removes a cloth covering his eyes. He states that thanks to you, that a curse has been lifted. It was one born of the grief and hatred between the Hinable and Hikasawa family. You then will receive his Takius’s Blindfold and receive 5 Allegiance points. This is the end of the quest.
