To start fishing you need to have completed the quest to get you fishing pole and start buying bait. With fishing you can get fish (healing items). There is a variaty of fish you can have that have different effects.

Quest

To start the quest take the west exit from Prontera. Then go once more west using the northwestern exit. Go to southern part of the northern part of the island.

Fisherman will ask you for some item to start teaching you fishing:

• 20 Thin trunks (Parasite)
• 20 Sticky mucus (Many monsters including: Poporing, Hode, Orc Zombie, Zenorc)
• 10 Fine-grained trunks (Willow)
• 5 Tough vines (Dryad)
• 1 Metal fragment (Apocalypse, Vesper, Mining)

After giving fisherman the items he will teach you how to fish. Pay attention to the order, he will ask you how to fish afterwards.

After completing the fishing quest you can start fishing. The normal fishing spot is just below the fishing man in the water. It's invisible so try hovering your mouse near the beach till you find it. Fishing requires bait which you can buy from the fisherman.

Fishing spots

Normal

• Guppy: A fish that heals the same as a red potion.

• Trout: A fish that heals the same as a orange potion and a grape.

• Bass: A fish that heals the same as a yellow potion and a grape juice.

• Salmon: A fish that heals the same as a white potion and a blue potion. Small chance to get blinded, if WoE is active may also make you fall asleep when eating.

• Angel Fish: A fish that heals a great amount of HP and SP. Small chance to get frozen, if WoE is active may also curse you when eating.

• Doris: A fish that heals half of your HP and SP. Small chance to get Poisoned or silenced, cannot be used in WoE.

• Nemo: A fish that fully heals your HP and SP. Small chance to get Poisoned or silenced, cannot be used in WoE.

Advanced

Located inside Glast Heim sewers.

To get there you will need to go through Glast Heim church and take the lower Est exit. In the new map(dark loard is in this map) take the exit to the west. Once in the sewer map walk south (watch out for gargoyles) and the advanced fishing spot should be beside a small bridge. In order to start fishing here you will need to be base level 60. You will not obtain guppies anymore at the advanced fishing spot.

• Mutant Fish: A fish that heals the same as a white potion and a blue potion. If WoE is active may also make you poisoned when eating. (Only found at the advanced fishing spot)
