Generally dropped for monsters below 10k HP. General runes roughly drop at 0.6% for 10k HP monsters, then adjusted from there. Runes should not be difficult to obtain. Almost all runes are from old training spots whose loot did not age well within Ragnarok Online. Some very low early-game monster are sprinkled in as well as new players may get lucky and get a costume opportunity in the future.

Generally dropped for monsters below 22k HP. Roughly 0.3% for 20k HP, then scale from there. These monsters can be soloed, but will need sustain and some gears in order to do the job. Runestones are required to create costumes, or enchant armors in Faeheim and Lutia. Runestones are generally in *old* training location or rarely visited dungeons that are just slightly shy of being a good grinding spot as new locations become more attractive. Below are the monsters with the 4 types of runestones released so far: General Rune, Ancient Rune, Mystic Rune, and Rare Rune.

If any monsters do not drop the runes or are dropping it at the wrong rate, please report it via the ticket system.

General Rune

Generally dropped for monsters below 10k HP. General runes roughly drop at 3% for 10k HP monsters, then adjusted from there. Runes should not be difficult to obtain. Almost all runes are from old training spots whose loot did not age well within the game. Some very low early-game monster are sprinkled in as well as new players may get lucky and get a costume opportunity in the future.
