So after days on end complaining about heRO lag + torrent speed sucking, I took some serious time to research about the subject a bit. I got my torrents working so I have things to download that I really need to catch up on, but the heRO lag isn't going away. I made sure that my heRO port are opened for both UDP and TCP so I really don't see why every single port checking device is saying that the port is closed for UDP.

Researching much more techno-jumbo than I prefer, I finally found out that it seems my current (old) router has a famous reputation for inconsistent performance in actually managing the UDP ports.

And so Ayu won't be ingame due to death lag (I'll still be online to chat since lag doesn't affect it much, or if emergency calls me) so until I get a new router, I won't be on my legits or be ingame much. I'm still on forum and answering support tickets as just surfing the web (and downloading) have no problems at all. Just every single sense of online gaming died Sweat

Just out of curiosity.

Is it a Belkin?
Perhaps a new router is needed...

...and maybe a new networking card, too? Icon_biggrin
Stop downloading the pornos! D=
I got the same thing. I was just moments ago so frustrated I left my wild rose with 5k bait in it and logged out without storing it because I was lagging so bad and didn't want to wait an hour for my client to update the chat screen..

I also lagged out of infinity tower.. with /mineffect /effect /skip etc all off.
But Cheesecake, you've been complaining about lag 24/7, most likely due to your ISP or PC.

Ayu has had the problem since she decided to port-forward on her router to make her porn-downloads go faster.
Eh. A lot of players have been getting lag lately.
Maybe it's a bit at each end.
It's the modem because I secretly disconnected the router (and screwed everyone else, but most of them are asleep anyway) to see, and lag's gone.

(Note for murphy's law being true: my nintendo wifi usb connector died tonight or something. I plugged it in to the USB port, and the computer keep asking me to "please plug in your Nintendo WiFi USB Connector")
No, Proxy, My lag has been severely increased and unbearable for the last 5 days.
