Due to a run in with the blue screen of death, window$ no longer starts. I am currently using Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty) and was wondering if anyone has experience running heRO in linux or mac with WINE.
Well, I do not know much about linux, but from what I do know, there are people who have engineered their Ps3's to the linux ubuntu OS, and have ran RO on it. I would suggest doing a search online with keywords such as, "Installing RO in ubuntu", and "How to install "put popular server name here to get the most results" in linux".
Hopefully that should reap you a few results.:]

Please look at my post for a guide I found.

When you get to the part where you have to type in the iptables in the terminal, it should look something like this:

iptables -t nat -A OUTPUT -d 111.117.110.99 -j DNAT --to 67.205.124.138

the highlighted portion in the line above should be different for you, but everything else you should leave exactly how it is.

Hopefully everything works out for youIcon_biggrin.
I can't find the packet with the wierd address.??I read thousands of packets in the 10 or so seconds it took to get the failed to connect to server, I think it is reading all of the incoming packets in the dorm.??The packet with the wrong address is lost in there somewhere.??Can you be more specific on how I pick it out from the others?
Edit: should the wierd packet be to me or from me?
only one packet was addressed to me, and it was the response to the DNS query.
I sent three TCP packets to a 111. address.
I tried using the same bad address as you and it worked. I can now connect, but it looks like when an old tv isn't in sync kind of. I'm going to see if I can get a driver update for my intel integrated gpu.
Haha wow, thats strange, guess it is the same for everyone after all...or our wrong address happens to be the same...Thinking.
I can't figure out if I have the latest driver or not, but I'm not sure what the problem is. I'll post a screenshot sometime today.
