Quite a while in the works, I've been working on a Alternative BGM Selection for RO, using music composed by indy artists or from other sources such as movies and games. I'm posting this, cause I haven't been everywhere in RO, and as such don't really know all of it, so I'd love some help in some of those areas where I'm not sure where the music originate from. I'll probably be walking through heRO and checking the songs, eventually.
I'd also like comments on the choices of songs I have, if you are familiar with them. I'll give full credit to everything I used (which includes a few remixes of RO songs I got from Saii's BGM change (if you have a problem with this, I will gladly remove them and replace them with something else, I wish not to intrude). Here is the masterlist, with changes, and those I left. I'm still working on finding appropriate music however, so it's not done by far. I'm only going to release it after I'm satisfied with it.

I noticed you have alot of music that are good and etc. But im curious, are the music prosesed and changed format to 96 kbs Joint stereo and reduced volume by 25 % before installing it into ro O___O?

If you dont process em they can be bad for the client making you lag, the music might not play anymore and in worst cases they crash the computer somehow(unknown cause).

altho rusty but nice, you have potential and keep the awesome work going ^___^

I read your comments in your bgm change thread about that, and I rechecked my songs. In all honesty, the RO-client reads almost any type of MP3, except low bitrate one's (like really low). Also, it doesn't seem to read ID3v2 tags. If I remove them, the music plays. I've tested a lot of it already, and it doesn't make my game crash or lag. But, your points on it does seem valid in some way, because the client reads mp3's really wierdly. o.o

I'm on trial and error at the moment, and I've only had to remove ID3v2 tags to make some tracks play that didn't start upon entry.
