Well, I got my computer up to date finally and whatnot, I reload heRO on to it and all its files, and when I make sure it is running in XP Compatibility Mode since Im running Vista, I also make sure I click Run As Administrator.

Well When i do that heRO Windows pops up then suddenly closes a split second after. Ive restarted my computer, ran scan to make sure compy wasn't infected which it wasnt.

WOuld anyone happen to have any insight to alleviate this situation T.T

~~Further Crap~~
Ive already Checked my Graphics card and its more then capabale of handling RO, and Ive made sure its up todate.

Ive Also added the exception of heRO to my Firewall.
After opening the setup(.exe) file in your RO folder, is that blank or is there stuff in there?

Also, where is your RO folder located? Vista has a problem with RO if it is anything deeper then 2 folders...
No, Direct 3dHal is present an din drop down menu is Direct 3d Hal& TL (or something).

heRO is 1 folder deep

Move hero to your documents.

Better yet, uninstall the whole thing and re install it directly into a file called HERO SERVER in your documents, this should solve a directory issue and never create it again, another alternative is using a registry fixer, registry fixers can fix ortodox registry and adress issues.

If the problem persists turn off also acc control.
I did what you said but it still opens and closes instantly :/
Have you tried with it on your desktop? Which version of vista are you running? Also, can you post a ss of your RO folder?
Im running Vista Home Basic, same one that ran heRO a while back :/.

Yes Ive tried it on my desktop, the whole folder, still no luck.

Ill upload screen shots later Icon_biggrin.

THis is the same Setup I was using when I started in April this year that worked... I also had the idea to try other sevrers as a test, but they ended up doing the same thing as heRO, including RMS Test Server..
GT-Hiro, I recently had to wipe my whole computer now when I try and open heRO setup is blank like you said. What's wrong?
just select a resolution ;s
