Hi!

I'd like to ask an opinion from all you veteran monk players out there. If you had to choose between Chain Combo(lvl5)/Combo Finish(lvl3) or Chain Combo(lvl3)/Combo Finish(lvl5), which skill build would you choose? The level five Combo Finish gives much more damage compared to level five Chain Combo but on other hand I'll propably stick to Chain Combo when levelling in easy mobs.

personally i tend to go with combo finish and just spam it all the time... but if you wanna conserve fish and isn't in a rush to kill them monsters i'd go with chain combo and repeat only the triple attack - chain combo line... but if you're dealing with things that are about 6k or less in HP with medium (30) def or less i'd say go for the finish and one-streak them all...

You can always manually level-adjust/not use Finish.

Easy monsters are too easy, so:

Iron Hand 5
Call Spirits 5
Absorb Spirits 1
Triple Attack 5
Dodge 5
Investigate 5
Finger Offensive 5
Critical Explosion 3
Asura Strike 5
Chain Combo 5
Combo Finish 5
I would go for Combo Finish partly because of the damage and partly because I enjoy actually finishing the whole combo XD
My combo monk uses both and he lvls pretty good.
hmm, Combo finish does do splash damage (5x5 splash) when you get monk link, also combo's are cheaper too~

The skill build I was thinking was something like this:

Iron Hand 10
Call Spirits 5
Absorb Spirits 1
Triple Attack 5
Dodge 10
Investigate 3
Finger Offensive 3
Critical Explosion 3
Asura Strike 1
Chain Combo 3 or 5
Combo Finish 3 or 5

I can't say it's based on experince but I kinda like the idea of having as much passive benefit as possible and I think the extra 4 levels of asura give me anything extra as I propably won't be spamming it. And you know more atk is always more atk and more flee is always more flee. Ok
Flee sucks, waste of skill points. You'll never be able to 95% anything worthwhile. Iron Hand is your call, but it's not gonna make a significant difference.

iron hand is just for prereqs
same goes for dodge

get investigate 5 (it's a godlike skill, son)
i've never cared much for FO, but if you like pvp it seems lots of ppl use that. But then again unless you have tons of dex i don't really recommend it.

this way you can max chain combo and combo finish

oh and why investigate?
because FO/combos are for low def monsters while investigate is for high def monsters. That way you can widen your hunting capabilities Ok

asura is just a gimmick, so putting 1 there is good for the occasional lol-asura-combo-lol

I don't know... I have dodge lvl 10 and my monk can dodge some stuff that's worthwhile. then again I have almost 90 agi.
