Just curious, what is the data usage when playing/patching HeRo?

I found out today my aunt's DSL through ass-T&T is limited to like, 250 gig a month? So just wondering before I hook up my pc later to play ro/listen to music/download music(If I can find somewhere to do so, considering frostwire is grounded afaik), will I be using a lot of her limit thing?

When I mentioned using the internet today she started bitching about it. If you go over the limit, blah blah blah. -shakes head- Cannot explain electronics to older people.
Playing RO hardly uses any data at all, but updating has the potential to since some updates can be hundreds of megabytes.

250GB a month is a lot, though. That's like DL'ing the client 250 times in a month or 200-300 movies in a month. It's 1/4 of a terabyte. You guys have nothing to worry about. ...Unless someone misread something somewhere and it's really 25GB/mo. In that case, it's best to not pirate too much. Much more honest to pay for things anyway. Ok

You should watch it, though, because YouTube uses a surprising amount of data at higher resolutions.
Yah I have AT&T so I know all about the data caps. Icon_sad
They are le suck, but if you are playing mmo's its really not too bad on the caps at all. Just don't keep it on all the time and you should be okay.

And Whispers is right, Youtube does use a lot of megabytes at the higher resolutions, so I suggest watching vids wherever you can at 360P. They will load pretty quick still, and are of at least tolerable quality. :o
Alrighty thanks very much W/Aaron. Now I don't have to worry about "paying whatever I go over" in bills.

*angryface*

I'm out to bed, whispers ! Get on fb sometime tomorrow night around 10ish, making you get on hero, broski. More specifically on with me to somewhere interesting. To where? Iunno.
How many people are using the connection?

I doubt you and your aunt could reach that 250GB limit per month, even including uploads, unless you both had high speed downloads going almost 24/7. o.o

Do AT&T provide a site/program that allows you to see the current percentage used for that month?
