Just curious, do any of you that enjoy roleplay in Ro ever have your characters and pets talk with one another? Or does your pet just serve a mediocre purpose with no personality?
I find myself enjoying the bickering my Assassin and smokie have always had.

i prefer to keep my smokie, Sithis, nonspeaking (since Sithis is supposed to be some type of demigod that's a void...). and i don't use pets otherwise unless in big parties for carrying extra stuffs and junk
if cursing my siroma everytime he speaks counts, then yes xD
lol gettin them to talk is easy, but getting them to shut up afterwards is the hard part. though I did love seeing a humon chase down pets screaming OMNOMNOMNOM
Well i guess it depends really, i'd say if you think it matches your story then why not :o In the ragnarok anime the poring pet from the merchant (forgot her name) basicly didn't say more then "po" "popo" "poring", but if i'm gonna write a full story about a character once i might as well lett the pet speak depends on if it first my story or not (i see a romantic scene, siroma pet breaks the sfeer by using one of his poring lines >:@)
Well my smokie certainly is along with my assassin. Had him since I started (After the original raccoon died, which still pains me.), and Dfa kept Murder rather reminded of the fact at first too.
They're close as characters, despite their tendency to bite at one another.
I was considering writing a story centered on them, just not sure what the action going on would be inside it.
XD I sometimes hold whole conversations with my kitsune, even when there aren't many (and on occasion, any) people present. As for explanation of the standard pet talk table, I refer to that as "poring-tourette's", and half of all of my conversations with my ninetails involved it complaining about being stuck with that talk table, and my lack of effort on giving her a new one. That, and going back and forth between bickering about someone who threatened something, usually with me trying to calm her down. I also sometimes do this while being the clown in the statement "Did you see that Clown fish?", usually with her complaining about carrying all the fish XD
It's just a fun thing you can do if you think fast enough on your feet (like I usually do). Come up with a personality for your animal friend, and stick with it. Play out a few dialogs. If you're nervous, do it by yourself. Eventually, the responses just flow and your only limit is how fast you type.
Oh, and if there's an MvP associated with that pet (Moonlit for foxes), feel free to have them ponder how that MvP is doing, or threaten to summon said MvP when angry....
Noob Question: Does your pet talk on its one once you get it intimate enough?
Hence the poring-tourette's my ninetails has =P
