I've seen this implemented on a few servers and think it would be nice to have a time limit on @at and vending, after which the vendor will be logged and must set up shop again.. say 48 hours?

I think this would really help the economy since people will be forced to reset shop and be more motivated to sell their junk fast rather than force their OP'ed stuff down everyone's throats.

Also it would make it extremely annoying to have 10 venders per person sitting in prontera vending crap no wants.
I think this has been suggested in the past before? Not 100% sure though... Can't remember to much of the answers on it.
-1 on time set.
Personally, I don't want to reset my shop every other day, even if I was active. I do it once a week, or whenever I feel like it.

-1 on the idea of forcing people to lower price for faster sell. You wish!
Econ doesn't work that way.
Say merchant A wants to sell a hatter card at 500k.
Merchant B will have to vend it at 499k or so to win buyer.
Then Merchant A will lower to 498k.
As a buyer knowing how this works, I'll wait until that hatter drop to 1z to buy. Everyone will do the same since they know the price will go lower by days.

-1 on vending crap.
Your crap is someone else's treasure. And your treasure is their crap.
I personally like the idea,??even if it means making the lazy people??not put their stuff on display.??It'd get rid of a lot of place holder shops with the 99m jellopy.

Also it'd make people HAVE to refresh their wares so there's a higher possibility that it's not the same ol crap as usual. A more active economy as opposed to a set it and forget it economy.

I'd end up wanting to limit the number of autotrading merchants per IP as well, but i don't see that going over well.

I'd reccomend 48 hours of autotrade vending time before the server boots you =x.
I like the idea =O
I've been hoping this would be implemented for YEARS now. =/
I like the idea as well actually. Usually, when I vend, it is because I need to get a few extra zeny for something, or I just have excess things that people might want. Or it's just because I have school, and I still want to be able to get things while I'm offline ^-^;
I like the idea as well.

This is partially the reason there are so many merchants taking up space in Pront and in payon too, also right outside of BG. People put vends EVERYWHERE with things that people DONT want to buy, this turns to it being just plain annoying, since the person doesn't update their shops because they haven't sold everything they have, but guess what, they never will sell out. The only people with a problem here are those that by from those PnP/7-11 type merchants.

Although this is true, economy works by people undercutting each other, but you forget that vending is not the only way of transaction in this server. Main has a massive influence on the market price, even if the merchants aren't there, there are still people constantly selling/buying/PCing items which might (most likely will) affect how often an item's price will change in vends.

BTW I'm against of this idea!!! :@@@@@@@

Nah, just messing, it's pretty good +1

Edit: spacing between quotes, forgot to preview it :@
if anything set the limit to a few more days instead of 2 days if you're that worried about not being able to be as lazy as you want

at this rate, a five/seven-day limit would make a lot more people pay attention to their weeks-old vends

anyway +1, i do kind of vaguely recall it being suggested before but can't remember it either
