it isnt hard at all to get an irc chan on one of the countless irc networks out there nor is it hard to admin such a room with ops mature nuff to do so outside the actual ro gamemasters or irc staff. No matter what im doing online or even away with my pc going (which is like almost 24/7) i always am useing mirc to connect to my fav irc gameing rooms and hanging out..It isnt hard just to minimize the irc when going in game and unless you got some ***hole friends pm spamming you without you knowing it and your stuck on a 56k connect there wont be any lag.Anyway,thats why i voted yes.
I know it's not *that* hard, but it does require a little more work on our part. If I am to ask some GM to connect to it and check it from time to time, it must be worth it (aka have people on it).

I don't see myself ever getting much use on it. If we want to talk, why not just log into the game.
