Been curious for a while about how the stats works. Not like "how many str-points does it take to get 1atk", but how does atk work?

My friend said that its simply how much a simple attack does. So I tested it. my ws got 369+25 atk.

Overthrust gives +25%
Weapon perfection changes from 75%dmg to 100%dmg inflicted
Maximise power makes my attacks inflict maximum possible dmg
I'm using +5 vvs earth axe against hw, so jsut the earth attribute does 200% dmg(dont know how the vvs & +5 works)
Mammonie lvl8 does 500% dmg
And i got dual iron wrist & mystcase hat(+32% mammo dmg)
Hill winds got 10 defense(here's what things get weirdIcon_biggrin)

Here's for short:
394*1,25/0,75*2*5*1,32*0,9=7,8k

Obviously I'm on the wrong track.... So please help me :D

I assume the hit & flee works in a special manner, so I dont bother about them.
I'm also assuming 23+53 def or mdef means 23%dmg protection & 53dmg reduction.
Crits are too obviousIcon_biggrin
And I also thought the aspd were x atks/2min, meaning that 190aspd would do 95 atks/min. But I seem to remember reading that its the atk delay reduction, how does this damn things work!?
Seems like you can do basic math, so this will explain it all if you really care to learn it:

I also know rather advanced math...

Didnt think refining actually did much of a difference, guess I was wrongIcon_biggrin
The important thing to do when checking out the RO wiki, is to make sure that you're reading the pre-3rd class one. So you want the old wiki, not the new one, because we're playing the old stuff, not the new fancy stuff.

http://irowiki.org/oldwiki/Main_Page

With that in mind, I'd suggest looking at the str and aspd pages from the old wiki to help you with your math.

http://irowiki.org/oldwiki/Str#STR
http://irowiki.org/oldwiki/Aspd

There's a lot of important changes when you look at the old and new wiki's especially in the math behind the game, so you're going to want the formulas that we actually use.

Read through the wiki, memorize the formulas, become a RO genius.
