Considering that I've gotten my new computer, I'm not going to be on heRO anymore. As it is, Windows 8 apparently can't run the heRO client properly, so I'll be moving onto other games. I've been on heRO for a few years now, and I guess it was fun while it lasted, despite the arguments I've gotten into with various people. Thank you to everyone who was a part of my guild at some point, and to those who made playing a positive experience.
Maybe we'll cross paths again some day, heRO.
Only problem with windows 8 and HeRO is that if you don't choose the right client size the first time you're screwed.
My cousin has windows 8 and can play heRO without problems: if u really want to play I can help you.
I had heRO working fine on my Windows 8 machine.
I say "had" only because I uninstalled it due to lack of interest in RO lately. Didn't realize there were any issues with games working on Win8. In fact, we've gotten some stuff in my house to work on it that never would work on Win7. :x

I don't. I'm fine not being able to play. I downloaded League of Legends, I play console games on a regular basis now, and I bought a few games for my PSP. I purposefully stepped away from heRO because I don't have any real interest in playing anymore. I do appreciate your help, though.
And if you think I'll be back in a few weeks, I guess we'll see, now won't we?

Windows 8 does run on windows 8, I've gotten it to work perfectly. You have to run it in compatibility mode for windows 7, then run the setup.exe as an admin, as well as hero.exe on admin.
