Okay, so I've looked at all the other threads for this problem, but nothing helps.
My laptop died in July, so I got a new one. I finally got around to downloading the heRO setup last night and this morning I installed it. Now, like everyone else, when I try to choose dimension size I have no options. I can't even play the game in fullscreen. The icon is the orange-haired girl, which is the one that's supposed to work. I tried the right-click solution everyone's had, BUT I HAVE NO COMPATIBILITY TAB TO CHOOSE.

I am running Windows 8. I fear I may be unable to ever come back to heRO. :<Cry
I recommend trying the first solution here: http://pandoraonline.net/forum/showthread.php?tid=23492
Just make the 640 and 480 into the numbers for the screen resolution you want. This fixed it on my Windows 8 laptop; maybe it'll fix it for yours.

I don't know anything about the second (more dangerous) solution, so attempt that one at your own risk. >_>

Good luck!
I can see 2 possible problems here:

1- You might have picked the wrong graphics card
2- Your graphics card might be outdated and/or not properly installed

Can you post a screenshot of the window of your Setup.exe?
First solution worked. Yaaaay! /kermit arms
I know this thread is a few weeks old, but I am having the same issue (or perhaps, a very similar issue) as the original poster here.

I have tried the solutions in the stickied thread. Editing the LUA did not help, and when I searched through my registry, the specified HEIGHT and WIDTH values were not found in the location mentioned - my Gravity Soft folder did not have them.

I have tried setting the resolution via opensetup, and also have tried running the .exe in compatibility mode for other operating systems.

Nothing has worked. Please help if able.

OS: Windows 7

Download this setup.exe

Select to run it as admin. If the drop down box offers no resolution to select, try updating your graphic card driver.
That worked =D thanks!
