Muspel and DG are pretty much the ONLY parties nowadays (anubis if you count their exp being doubled atm). It is indeed a sad state of affairs. I do have fun in those 2-3 man parties but it seems like the majority of people have gotten used to the big lazy parties, and can rarely cope without having a specific set of classes (like bragi, priest, and someone to feed them SP). You'll probably never see a large party here without a bragi'd wiz for their meteorological phenomena.

Any class can mob/lure so long as they can stay in front of them and run without getting hit. The Higher HP and mobility peco riders makes it easymode for them, in addition to endure/concentration so they have quite a large amount of play to make mistakes with while mobbing.

Priests, it's mostly about the buffs, but there are always those peoples who never bring healing items. And the ever important resurrection.

Bragi- We get it. It's nice, it's sexy, but we depend WAY to freaking much on this... there are people who never party without this and do not know how to handle things when the Bard dies and can't be ressed before the effect runs out.

SP Batteries- Why do we even need these? Option A) bring SP items. Option B) Sit yer butt down and regen! overweight? throw some crap overboard! You probably insisted on a priest, this is what magnificat is for!

AoE- There are more AoE's that'd work outside of Storm gust/ LoV (that only really sees any use when people go to ice dungeon <_> ). Sharp shooting snipers (while they do pretty much need the SP bat and bragi to keep it up and be effective, their weight limits their SP items held) can pretty much handle anythng a wizard could. There's a plethora of other mobbing skills that don't see much use because they either need to be tanked or mob smaller to used.

What I'm proposing is a system similar to our current BG setup where we get a hodgepodge of random peoples (ensuring a non-optimal environment) where they gotta party together and make it through a tough semi-random PVE environment.

Perhaps the rewards could vary on how quickly they could do it? Aside from exp, these could be anything from OCA's to Elu/Ori and other things that would be sought after to improve ones character. Perhaps they could share the BG points and help contribute towards those gears?
I suggested something like this awhile back. A sort of automated Monster Arena event like Mystic Tower but with different sets of random monsters and on a smaller scale. Of course to implement such an event successfully you would have to first fix all of the "Cheese" events like Muspel/DG and 2x exp Anubises and Nekorings. Because what is the point of implementing an event that takes skill when people can just just as easily leech in Muspel/DG or 99 at 2x exp Nekorings and Anubises?

Msytic Tower was a good idea and is challenging but the number of Mystic Tower runs compared to Muspel Runs are considerably lower due to the fact that it's not easy cheese /lootexp like Muspel.

Really to fix the leeching and easy exp on this server GM's would only have to fix 2 things:

1. Put a level restriction on DG. Level 95+Non-Trans or 90+ Trans only.
2. Make Muspel EXP loss and make Pasana/Fire Armor a mandatory gear at the very least. Make it so you get one-shotted by monsters if you don't have fire armor/reducs cards.
Thanks for the suggestions. We'll see what we can do Icon_smile
I suggest a game that counts death counts! You die as much as you can before others can die faster and whoever dies the most wins!

Only can think of one person that can did very well on this and even able to lure in DG (whole map) with a novice... A evil MUP Evil

That's PVP, isn't it?
No, it's PVS (Person Vs Self)
