i just got a mac laptop yesterday and i was told it was possible to put hero on it but I'm not sure how. Does anyone else out there use a mac for hero? Any suggestions on how i can run it? besides particianing the hard drive and installing windows on it.
Don't partition. You can easily emulate Windows XP on a Mac and play Windows only games on a Mac.

Edit: Try looking at VMWare Fusion. I'm not usually a Mac user but I think that could solve your problem.
I hear differing arguments from my friends on macs running RO. Half of them say it works perfectly fine and they don't know what people are talking about, the other half swears it blows up their computer. Try it and see? that's about all I can say about it.
the blowing up part scares me when you say that T.T i JUST bought the Mac book pro! I haven't even made a payment on it yet i don't want it to blow up.
We don't provide support for mac. Since heRO is made to run on windows, you use at your own risk. But it's been known to work for some people, using a windows emulator, good luck.
when I say blow up I mean it does the mac equivilant of an illegal operation.
You could also try a compatability layer like Wine, Cedega, or Crossover. Cedega and Crossover are both based off Wine, so I would try that first, before spending money on the others.

Thanks for the Links Goop but down side is that those are meant for official iro server, not really compatible with the private servers since they run on kRO instead of iRO. Icon_biggrin But thank you so much, I really am appreciating any help I can get.
Buy a PC.

Okay, I couldn't help that. But seriously, I hear things about Bootcamp. Check it out. It Lets you dual-boot an intel-based mac. Probably faster than emulation anyway.

Or get an windows server and install RO, then a mac client to connect via Remote Desktop. But most people don't have a spare remote desktop server lying about.
XD i got a pc thank you.

I bought a mac laptop for my work side of my life Icon_razz but i wanted to see if i can make it also a little bonus by playing RO for me. thanks for the advice.
