Eh, ATB was fun since it's been the staple battle system of the FF series, but I like the way this battle system looks. Forces you to use more strategy instead of input one command after the other and for once you're able to juggle an opponent in the air and get some assists from your allies as well. Since it is an early version of what the battle system was before they made more tune-ups, it's expected and hopefully the final product will be even better.
