Can I have some recommendations? >< - mrmopsy - 07-29-2009
im looking for an anime that has some humor in it, but also a good storyline, and action ._. i kinda like the less "modern" ones... which means i think people shooting at eachother is boring =\
some animes ive watched and liked are bleach, gintama, inuyasha, tsubasa, and disgaea @_@
halp plax? :D

What about giant robots shooting at each other? Would that work? :D
I kid.
Try Hunter X Hunter. It's got an interesting storyline with an odd blend of action and humor. It's setting is modern though I guess...

The Getbackers is my favorite anime, and the perfect combination of humor, action and story. It's set in modern tokyo, however none of the main characters use guns, just random crappy grunts here and there that get pwned easily.

It's 49 wonderful episodes long. =D Let me know what you think.

Axis Powers Hetalia. It's like a history class and humor rolled up into one awesome anime.

Try Nadia the secret of blue water, it's old but still really good ^_^

Hmmm... You dont want something "modern". If bleachs go in that category to you??I suggest you wolf and spice or baccano. Both are damn good but pretty diferent.
Both animes have my favorite female character and phsycopathic killer in the last 2 years :D (Horo and Ladd~).

OMG you watch Kabuto too? \O/
The most hilarious scene in that show must be when Tendou thought his little sister had a boyfriend

Ranma 1/2 is a good classic Romanticomedy with fair amounts of action =x
