The GM have finally reached a consensus on the god item issue, it took much longer than expected since this is a touchy subject. While we are aware that no option will please everyone we feel this is the best outcome for heRO.
God items will stay unmodified in terms of stats.
God items will be available via one of the new upcoming quest called Pandora's Box, which you may have seen a preview of in the loading screens.
This quest consists of many rooms, in the second to last room the heroes will have to fight a MVP, after fighting the mvp a NPC will appear to warp the heroes to the final room. If the party leader also happens to be guild leader of a level 15+ guild the npc will offer to make a god item.
The NPC will require the normal god item ingredient list which are items that drop from castles as well as some other special ingredients which are kept secret for now, I'll only say that they are not abnormally hard, the main difficulty will still be gathering the god item ingredients from castles as well as passing the pandora's box quest up to the MVP room.
There are 4 different MVP the players may have to fight in that room, each MVP will be associated to a NPC, that npc in turn is associated to a specific god item. So players have a 25% chance to end up with the npc they have gathered the god item ingredients for. Pandora's Box Quest is repeatable.
We feel that combined with this hard quest and a few additional items, it compensates well for the lack of the official god item quest in terms of difficulty and teamwork required, and to top it off we give it a special hero touch.
