Leveling Sage

I am trying to make a leveling sage just to get to 99 and trans as quickly as possible.

I plan on leveling with a wizard. Thinking the 99 int/dex build such as this. Please, list suggestions and fixes as you see fit. I really don't know what I am doing.

I would drop Endow Tsunami / Deluge and 5 other points (maybe from freecast - or possibly Dragonology - unless you're actually using it to hit an important INT band) to get Frost Diver 10. It's not a great end-game skill - but it can be invaluable in some leveling situations. If you're going to be with the wizard 100% of the time, though, you can probably go with what you've got there.

Pick TS or HD as your main mobbing skill.
Max Deluge, especially if you're hanging out with a Wiz to level. This way you get the longest duration and added strength you can give to water based skills. On top of that, it makes it fun as hell to waterball around with.

Try to fit in FD if you can like Albus suggested. If you haveta, I'd actually cut down Free Cast to 7 most and even FW to 7 most (but I don't VFW so I'm biased here!).

Thanks for the suggestions. I added FD to the mix. I couldn't drop FW, I use it far too often (undead + vfw is just awesome, plus all the other uses).

I am still having problems figuring where to put points. I updated the listing below. Essentially, I need my FW, TS & HD maxed.

Personally, I find that the points you're using in Dragonology are a waste-- that's 9 skill points you're using (4 for Study/Advanced book, and then the 5 in Dragonology) for 3 INT. Even if it's giving you an INT bonus, do you really feel that 3 INT is worth spending 9 skill points?

Personally, I find that 3 INT can be easily made up for with gear, and you don't need a metric boatload of INT. If you're going 99 int/dex you'll easily have more than enough to forego 3 from Dragonology.

My suggestion: Take out dragonology. Use those 5 points to max out your bolts, frost diver, and deluge. Take 4 points from Advanced book, and then use those as your spare points. You could max out free cast then get a point of magic rod, or get freecast to 9, and get 1 magic rod, 1 spell breaker. Or hell, maybe some SP recovery if you find yourself running out of SP (It tends to happen if you tank with Energy Coat on). Or whatever you want 4 points for.

Getting level 1 Magic Rod and Spellbreaker isn't a bad idea with the left over points if you take out Dragonology.

You'd be surprised where you can find uses for both. x)
Yah definitely still get max Deluge since you're partying that Wiz. :O
