Game Mechanics Questions - Drop Priority

This is likely a question for the GM's but if you know the answer feel free to reply.

How does the game determine what Items will drop when using custom gears.

Assuming all 8 Drop slots are full.

Ex:

I am wearing Bee Wings and Crooked Hat farming sleepers.

The assumption is that items native to the monster will drop before any custom gear items.

Lets Assume the following occurs
Slot 1: Grit (100%)
Slot 2: Sand Clump (100%)
Slot 3: Great Nature (75%)
Slot 4: Fine Sand (36%)
Slot 5: Rough Oridicon (9%)

This occurs ~ 2% of the time. Which isn't really all that common so the situation may not come up very often.

The last 3 slots will take items from the custom gears: Which gear will it calculate first. The headgear or the wings.

If Wings are calculated first (have priority) and Honey / Item drop.
Slot 6: Honey
Slot 7: Item

There is only one slot left for Headgear drops. Meaning BB will drop xor DB will drop. Esentially reducing (By a negligible amount) the drop rate of BBs

8 is the maximum qty of different items than can be dropped by a monster at one time? where did u get that info?

I'm pretty sure the custom drops doesn't fill any of the base slots.
As for why it's 8, almost all monsters officially drop 8 items. Not sure if it's the maximum though.

then it would make the things he mentioned to be placed at slots 9,10 and 11 then?

What I mean is, they don't really go into "slots" but they still drop.

a poring can drop up to 12 items..if this makes any difference or important information for you

Seems like the number 15 I've heard once still makes sense then.
Although officially, Poring only have 8 drops.
