From a Buddhist perspective, the actual experience of death is very important. Regardless of how and where they will be reborn in general, depends on the karmic forces, our state of mind at the time of death can influence the quality of our next rebirth. Thus, at the time of death, despite the wide variety of karmas we have accumulated, if we make a special effort to generate a virtuous state of mind, we can strengthen and activate a virtuous karma, and cause and a fortunate rebirth.
