Helm of Hermes Quest
Discover the origins of a blue cap used by a Fisherman. The Helm of Hermes has a Base Defense of 6 provides a bonus of +1 Str, +1 Vit, and 2% HP Recovery per refine. It can be worn by any class that is Level 50 or above.

Quest
1. At the Brasilis beach you can find a Fisherman near the docks (233, 72). Respond with, “You look worried. Is everything alright?” He tells you that a cap he owns has a hole in it. Choose to, “Examine the cap,” for him to notice some marks. The Fisherman will tell you he noticed that before and that you are welcome to take the blue hat to the museum to be further looked at.
2. Make your way to the Art Museum in Brasilis on the East side of town (148,161). Go upstairs to find an Employee (43, 187) and when he asks if he can assist you with anything, respond with, “Maybe, yes.”
3. The Employee will remark that their museum deals with modern art, and not antiques such as the one you brought him. He recommends you find an antique dealer in Louyang.
4. Once you arrive at Louyang, an Antiquity Seller can be found to the east of the Weapon/Armor Shop (106, 155). You will be given three options to respond to him with when you choose to speak with him. First buy one of his vases for 10,000 Zeny, you’ll receive a Chung Jah in return. Then, speak to the Seller again and choose the third dialogue option, “Can you tell me what this is?”
5. Choose to speak with him again and he’ll tell you the cap you brought him is a copy of the Helm of Hermes.
6. Speak with the Antiquity Seller one last time, and ask him if there is any way to restore this copy of the Helm of Hermes. The Seller will tell you that you cannot, but maybe a blacksmith friend of his in the Weapon/Armor shop can do something for you.
7. The Weapon/Armor Shop is a short walk West of the Antiquity Seller (146, 172). Go inside and walk to the right to find a Smith (147, 175). Talk to him and show him your replica Helm of Hermes.
8. He’ll inform you that he cannot repair your Helm, but he could make you another. He’ll need the following list of items.
- Orc Helm x1
- Witched Starsand x20
- Cobaltblue Dyestuffs x2
- Black Dyestuffs x1
- Angel Wing x1
- Speed Potion x1
- 10,000 Zeny
9. Return with the requested items and zeny, and he will craft you a Helm of Hermes. You can do this as many times as you wish.
