The following monsters can be found in Surtur's Palace, located in Muspelheim.

This dungeon is recommended for Lv 85 Non-Trans and Lv 80 Trans. However, the two bosses are recommended for even higher levels, skill and preparation. Monsters in the area react differently depending on the skill used on them, meaning the strategy can be different if a wizard is attacking storm gust, or if a sniper is using sharp shooting.

Monsters are mostly fire property, with dark property being the 2nd most common. Eyes of Surtur occasionally hide and use grimtooth, therefore it is recommended to have revealing skills or items ready to use, such as sight, ruwach, detect and heaven's drive.

  • This is the first non-event monster in HeRO that can cause the burning status or use Demonic Fire.
  • The burning status can be healed by using the Snow Flip Item.
  • The Enchant Weapon Status is the same one Elemental Converters use. It can override existing converter enchantments, aspersio, sage endows, and warm wind status, but can be removed by removing and equipping weapons.

Note
  • Uses a variety of skills depending on what skills are used against him, which may require different strategies depending on the classes in battle.
  • Fire Breath will be used when hit by Cold Bolt, Storm Gust, Meteor Storm, or Esma, which will require fire armor or safety walls/pneuma depending on Fafnir's range from the targets.
  • When hit by Double Strafe, Sharpshooting, Falcon Assault or Spiral Pierce it will use Wide Bleeding, causing the party to have no SP regeneration.
  • Dragon Fear will be used when hit by Asura Strike, which can cause stun, blind, bleed or confusion.
  • Wide Meteor Storm is cast when hit by Bowling Bash, Cart Termination, Acid Demonstration or Sonic Blow, which covers the entire screen and can cause stun on hit.
  • It will use a specific emote with each skill as a sort of indicator on what skills it is using.
  • Trivia: Fafnir's minimum attack matches the year the revamped Muspel was released, and the maximum attack is the date of the first Muspel Monday after said revamped, March 4th, 2019.

  • Uses a variety of skills depending on what skills are used against him, which may require different strategies depending on the classes in battle.

  • Reflect Shield will be used when hit by Asura Strike, followed by constant usage of Heal and Slow Cast until reflect shield expires.
  • Demonic Fire is cast when hit by Bowling Bash, Cart Termination, or Acid Demonstration, followed by Fire Expansion, which if targeting the Demonic Fire, will turn it into an area acid demonstration.
  • It will use a specific emote with each skill as a sort of indicator on what skills it is using.
  • It uses a variety of knockback skills which can cause those hit to fall into lava pits.
