1. Talk to the Schwartzvald Mechanic at Midcamp (197 237), just outside the building on the center of the camp. He asks you to speak to the Arunafeltz Linguist on the 2nd floor of the building behind him.

2. Talk to the Arunafeltz Linguist inside the building, up the stairs. He asks you to find a Fairy and Giant out on the fields and remember what they say. You've met these NPC before if you did the Finding a Fairy quest.

3. The Linguist asks you to speak with Rune Midgard's Magician.

4. The Magician at mid_camp 147 256 (West part of the camp), mentions he had people bury gems near Manuk and Splendide Towns, and asks you to retrieve the gems.

5. Talk to the Gem at spl_fild02 26 218 (Splendide Field 02). It's near the fairy. When attempting to dig it out, several thief bugs might spawn. Defeat them and continue to dig it out until you obtain a Ruby.

6. Talk to the Gem near the Giant at Manuk Field 03 (man_fild03 227, 109), and attempt to obtain it. Several thief bugs might spawn when trying to dig out the Gem, Kill them and continue talking to the Gem until you obtain a Saphire from it.

7. Go back to the Rune Midgard Magician with the Ruby & Saphire. Note: If you lose the ruby and saphire for some reason, you'll need to find 2 of them in order to proceed.

8. Talk to the Arunafeltz linguist. He asks you to talk to the Schwartzvald Mechanic.

9. The Schwartzvald Mechanic tells you to talk to the Rune Midgard Magician.

10. The Rune Midgard's Magician says he needs a unique Ore. Go mining in Manuk and Dicastes field and bring him an Unidentified Mineral.

11. The Magician asks you to wait a while (one minute?). Talk to the magician after you wait for a bit and he'll ask you to take the gem to the Schwartzvald Mechanic.

14. Talk to The Mechanic and he will ask you to come back in 1 hour. Return once the time is up and he will give you the Ring of the Ancient Wise King, 5,000,000 Base Experience and 1,500,000 Job Experience. This marks the end of this quest.
