It's October, you know what that means?! We're trying to get a new RMS review a day until November, as a kind of birthday present for HeRO!

So here we are reminding you about it! We'll be posting reminders here daily, as well as ingame and on discord, but since that can get repetitive and dull, we'll also post some little fun facts, trivia details, or information regarding on what the GM/T&D team is up to, or has done recently.

Here's six bits of information, one for every day since October started:

1. Right now there's 3,708 natural warp portals on heRO. This does not include "random" warps (Rachel Sanctuary F1), or those that are visible but do nothing until a requirement has been met (Prisma Cave).

2. Right now heRO has 8,322 scripts running (including 15th Anniversary related ones).

3. 4,123 natural monster spawns exist in heRO currently. This does not include scripted spawns such as Ktullanux, Surtur or Levia Lusca, or Day/Night spawns.

4. The Pick Log file for October 5th, 2020 has 216,063 lines. Each line means an item (or stack of items) was obtained or removed, whether from a mob dropping it upon defeat, to a player storing it, selling to NPC, or putting it in their pet.

5. The Official Pre-renewal Prontera Map has 1,303 objects in it (3D Models).

6. The Carandel Map has 1,337 objects in it (see image below).

Trivia for October 7! The Hero's Journey quest was originally intended to have 10 chapters and a Halloween Quest included in it, but some were cut out for time and plot purposes. The main quest character was intended to be a wise sage, but it was changed for Tiamat so players could feel familiar with the character. The idea of the wise sage evolved into the wise adventurer. He was only supposed to appear in one chapter but I liked him enough that I added him to the later parts of the story. Who knows, maybe we'll see the character again in future chronicle storylines. :P

Additionally, the minigames as seen in 2019 were originally intended to make a reappearance but were updated to feel fresh and new!

And now for today's Trivia! Did you know that Fredrick, the NPC in Prontera that announces the anniversary mini-games, has made prior appearances in the game?

During the temporary Lutia release as part of the "Of Fiends And Shadows" storyline in 2017, Fredrick created the Zen Helm for players who were in neither the Light or Dark Allegiance.

I liked the idea of Adelaide being the Zen Helm Quest NPC and intended her to be a member of this new "Neutral Allegiance" (participants of events can remember hints of her being tired of the conflicts between Light/Dark), but the character was already busy with the chronicle quests. Her wife Selene was also busy in Glast Heim as an NPC announcing the appearance of Midnight Jack, Lich, etc., so I created the character Fredrick.

As a callback to the quest and indicator of her relationship with the Neutral Allegiance, Selene often wears it in events. Maybe in the future we'll see more of Fredrick?
