I'll trust your experience then, Xev. I played it on a mid-rate server with an active WoE population of about 200 that had maybe 5 or 6 bigger guilds and a handful of small ones and WoE 2.0 was the most stagnant thing I've ever seen simply BECAUSE defending was so easy. That was what I saw anyways - I could only make it to 2.0 about once a month there due to work schedule + other conflicts.
The fun in 2.0 comes from breaking forts and fighting to keep your's when you're pushed to the third cade. Even in 1.0 nobody really likes sitting in a fort doing nothing. That's why 2.0 is so awesome. Really no need to sit around and do nothing.
Hey, then I'm all for giving it another try. Maybe, as you said, the problem was more in [other server]'s population than the 2.0 itself. I'm always up for trying again somewhere else (ie. heRO).
The way you put it, 2.0 might be worth a try.
What's not to understand? Some people enjoy fighting other people. Some people enjoy fighting against other players rather than monsters, frankly. It breaks monotony.
I enjoy it, more fun than holding hands and playing in nameless 24 hours a day.

I don't understand people that truly enjoy it. Winning it, yes. Because yay GDs. But not who enjoy it regardless.

People who don't like woe, suck at woe. People who are good at woe, like it. Nuff said.
Matrim Cauthon Jr Wrote:And I see pvp as a place to enjoy fighting and WoE as a place to work. Because WoE is work to me. I never have had fun and doubt I ever will in WoE itself.

But I still plan on doing it regularly. For rewards. I do stuff for rewards first & fun second.

@Landon You can like WoE & still not be good at it. And you can drudge through it, not have fun, & still be pretty good.
I've never seen someone who's good in WoE and dislikes it, maybe bored after doing it for too long. But anyway, how is PvP a place to enjoy fighting and WoE a place to work? The main difference between those is that in WoE you work with a team and battles last longer because of the reductions. How is playing with a team more like a work than playing alone? Maybe another difference that could be mentioned is that in WoE people use more consumable items. So if people start using consumable items in PvP it turns into a place to work? Maybe there's even another difference that I couldn't think of, but I would be glad if that was explained.
Maybe some people are just stupid.

HEY WHO KNOWS IT COULD BE
