Nydhoggur Instance

Nidhoggur's dungeon (Root of Yggdrasil) has been turned to an instance. The official instance is NOT adapted to heRO, but rather it is in an instance so that there's less concerns about the MVP being dead at the end of the dungeon.

* Nidhoggur's Shadow no longer drops the Dark Red Scale, and instead drops Nidhoggur's Essence
* Rata, Duneyrr and Aqua Elemental now drops Remnant of Nidhoggur's Essence

Nidhoggur's Essence can be traded for costumes at the Instance Rewards NPC back in midcamp ((/navi mid_camp 223/236), while the Remannt of Nidhoggur's Essence can be traded into Nidhoggur's Essence as a RNG stabilizer and a second way to try to get some Essence for costumes. Nidhoggur's Essence is meant to reward parties who can take down one of the hardest MVPs in heRO and spread out the reward so that players may not be as disappointed in not getting the prized Proxy Skin Fragment garment. Now another chase item is available, and the minibosses along the way will also give some Remants to be built into the main Essence. We hope that this will encourage players to revisit this older dungeon in its instance form.

Endless Tower Instance

Endless Tower has also been turned into a proper instance. You should not have to worry about the tower being locked out by another party anymore.

* Naght Seiger's defeat will give everyone on floor 101 a chance to get a 5% drop, the Violet Badge.
* Ashes of Darkness is no longer given, and you will need to climb up all 101 floors. 
* The cooldown is also dropped to 24 hours.

The violet badge can be traded for Endless Tower costumes in Alberta ((/navi alberta 205/74).

Prize Medals Update

Although there are no changes to how players will obtain Prize Medals, new shops have been added to expand the number of costumes available. A lot of these costumes are former holiday themed costumes. Now these costumes are obtainable at any time, though discounts are offered for any matching holiday costumes for those who are patient and looking forward to celebrate a particular holiday.

The Costumes page underwent an overhaul and should now be much more up to date for existing costumes. Why not give it a read to see what you are missing?

Bugfixes

* Fixed a critical bug where Ring of Friendship can crash the server
* Fixed a bug where Supernovice's Advanced Angelic Set's Assumptio bonus does not trigger on spells
* Fixed a bug where Majoruros Horn's effect does not match its description

Quality of Life Improvements

* Biolab Item Exchange and other item exchanges now use the new Shop interface for easier access

Database Note

GM team is aware that the heRO database (https://hero-server-db.herokuapp.com/) is currently outdated as it does not have Port Malaya monsters/gears, along with no info on 3 legendary player gears (Fleetly Fading, Bugcatcher, and Unnerfed Hunter Traps). We are still having tech difficulties to get some scripts to work in the post-client update environment. We'll need to think of some new ways to publish information for new items and mobs. It's not heRO's intention to withhold the stats and skills of the new content. If you have programming skills in python and/or lua, and is interested to lend a hand on this problem, please contact the GM team!

Known Issue/Bugs

• Buwaya Cave's treasure box weakness may spawn multiple weakness points if multiple people from the party talks to the NPC inside the box at the same time
• Buwaya Cave randomly sends players to the box instead of sending them to the box only on re-entry of the instance
• Buwaya Cave also randomly allows players to enter normally on re-entry instead of always being sent to the box
• Undine Spear level requirement is incorrect (should be 48, not 95)
• Yin Headdress and Yang Headdress cannot be costumed
• The Food Depot in BG is unreachable
• Mapflag for woe is not working correctly
• Lich Afanasay slaves look like Sorcerers
• Elemental resist potion status icon seems inconsistent
• Male hairstyle #82 does not work
• Auto-feed on pets does not work (does work on Homunculus)
